You'll love how easy the PVA Sponge picks up spills. They don't call it the PVA Sponge King for nothing. Keep it in the galley, and you'll never kick yourself again for forgetting the paper towels! Also EXCELLENT for applying paints, stains, waxes, and fiberglass coatings for streak-free applications! When comparing these to regular sponges, THERE'S NO COMPARISON! IMPORTANT: PVA cannot be used with BLEACH! Bleach or other cleaners containing bleach will damage your new PVA Sponge. Ammonia based cleaners are safe and work best with PVA. INSTRUCTIONS: Thoroughly soak PVA Sponge with water before use, then wring out. Your PVA Sponge will be shipped in a moisture-sealed package and has been pre-hydrated. When left unused, your PVA Sponge will become hard like a rock - this is NORMAL and will return to its absorbent state by simply soaking for a minute in water. (NOTE: This product is not compatible with bleach or bleach-based cleaners)

Truly a king of sponges
It can absorb so much water! I have a bathroom leak that sends a puddle of water onto the base molding. I put this sponge near the leak and there isn't a drop of water on the base molding. It soaks up every drop. However, it can take a couple days to dry when it's loaded with water which could be a source of mold, but I normally put the sponge to air dry by standing it on the end of the long side.Update: I bought this fantastic sponge in 2012 and left a great review. I accidentally soaked it in a bleach solution and damaged the integrity of the sponge structure and it broke into two but it was still highly absorbent. I bought another one in 2015 but right away it broke in half when I wrung out the water. It was also not absorbent. It was nothing like the first one I bought. Do not buy!

This sponge did okay but didn't really soak up the water like I thought it would
I needed a sponge to soak up the water in my kayak after a paddle. I first used a pump to get most of the water out and then was hoping to use the sponge to take care of the rest. This sponge did okay but didn't really soak up the water like I thought it would. Plus, after about a month of use, the sponge is cracking and falling apart. I think there are better sponges, both in terms of its water absorption and durability.

Great sponge
I use these sponges for cleaning and also for wood finishing (stain/dye). They are super absorbent and also have high solvent resistance for most common solvents (with the exception of acetone). You can clean the sponge with rubbing alcohol or color safe bleach but I would not recommend soaking it in bleach for too long. If you don't store PVA in a sealed container it will dry out and be very hard like a rock, you may have to soak it in water for a few hours to fully rehydrate it.

Ehh .. wouldnt purchase again
I expected this product to act and be like a super absorbant sponge . However when I received it , it was very very very hard like a rock . I had to sit it on a puddle over night to see if it would actually absorb anything . Well it did . But it absorbancy is no different or better than if I were to use a large sponge .

Not what I had bought before
I had bought a sponge called Sponge King in Panama. It was terrific. But I could no longer find it in any stores here. So I found this one and ordered it.When I used it, it discovered that the material they use is not a real sponge like the one before was. It feels more like some thick plastic thing. But the main problem is that it doesn't hold soap like the previous one did. The soap doesn't soak into this sponge, so I have to keep adding more soap.I am very disappointed with this sponge. What happened? I want the old Sponge King back!

cheap guitar humidifier
these are great for humidifying guitars. Get it wet, cut off a piece that's about 2" long and insert it between a couple of the strings. Use the rest up by the headpiece. ...stays damp for at least 24 hours (when the guitar is in the case). You want to remove it before it completely dries out or else the strings will imbed themselves, making it difficult to remove the sponge

Small
It's not as large as others I have purchased at County Fair. Would be 5 star if larger.

Great Sponge!
Great sponge...we'll see how it holds up, but so far the best sponge I've ever used. I keep one in my RV for spills, etc., and one inmy canoe or kayak.
