Efficient game cable
I purchased this cable mainly to connect my GBA SP to a GB to play the original GB Tetris 2P mode. It does work, albeit it does take a few tries to synchronize the two gameboys. Once established, the communication works perfectly. The two different dongles at both ends allow for communication between newer GBA ports and older Gameboy Color ports, although I haven't tested it yet.On the downside, the cable feels sticky which is pretty weird since it just came out of the box.

thats about it. bought it for my son but he quickly moved on to a Nintendo DS so never really ran it through its paces.

Trading Pokemon like a pro
OK, so I recently decided I was going to play some of my old gameboy color pokemon games and i wanted to trade pokemon between the two games that i had so i used my sisters old gameboy and hooked them up with this link and it worked like a charm.

be cautious
i had to give up trying to get another from customer service. the link cable fit on one side to my gameboy advance, but not another gameboy advance. i knew it was not my gameboys because i have another cable that died and worked and i tried the one side on both gameboy advance's and it worked. be careful ordering this item, you might not get what you are expecting. it does not work with with "any two gameboys" as promised, or at least it did not for me.

I ordered a cable from this company and it was the wrong cable. The customer service was excellent, they helped me get the right cable, it arrived in just a couple of days.

Cable for multiplayer and printer!
The multi-link cable works perfect in combo with the GameBoy Printer, and other GameBoy/GameBoy Color devices. Makes Pokemon a blast from the past.

Doesn't work
It says it works for game boy but it looks like a GBA cable. At least have it right and not falsely advertised. Not pleased at all.
