Handy light makes you visible at night
Well, I originally bought this LED armband as a Christmas stocking stuffer for my son who's away at college. As a long distance runner, he often has to resort to doing his training runs after dark, especially during the short daylight hours of winter. I thought this would be just the thing to make sure that motorists saw him. However, it will only keep him safe if he actually WEARS it...which he doesn't.Rather than bother to return it, I now attach it to my dog's collar when we go out for late (dark) evening walks in the woods and down country roads. It turns out that the dog is much more cooperative than my son when it comes to his safety. I used to be worried about him being mistaken for a deer during hunting season (he's a very large, deer-colored pooch). Now I figure that even if there are hunters around, they'll see the light on his collar and not confuse him with a deer or coyote. (I keep the light on steady-on rather than flashing so that it doesn't bug the dog.) So, while it isn't being used for its original intended purpose, I'm still happy with my purchase.Another reviewer faulted it because the light was not bright enough to "see where you're going." I'm pretty sure that most buyers are aware that its intended use is to make the wearer more visible to others...not to "light the way."

Works great but small
Works great. I like the white light better than the red/orange on my other arm band light and it flashes at a good not to fast not to slow cadence. However, I have to wear it on my forearm. I am 6" 220lbs, pretty fit but have not lifted in a while so I am not bulging at the arms and there is no way this thing is fitting around my arm past my elbow unless I am going for the tourniquet effect. It is made for the very petit or I got the last on in a batch and they ran out of materials. They need to add a size in inches for this thing so it would be easy to tell if it will fit or not.

Runner's World LED armband
LED is white, not red like the Nitezone and Planet Bike armbands, and is quite bright. The frequency of the flashing mode is a little too fast for optimum visibility, though. The on/off switch is easily accessible on the outside of the band, but is poorly marked and somewhat difficult to find, although it works fine when you press the right spot. Length adjusts using elastic. There is no buckle, so you have to slide it up your arm or over your foot. Replacement of the battery looks fairly simple. I gave it 4 stars, because I don't think you can beat it for the price.

EHH. COULD BE BETTER (BUT BETTER THAN NOTHIN)!
Well, does lite up (not very brite...but better than nothin). Has reflective properties. But unless I got a defective one, you'd have to be Popeye or somthin to actually wear it on your wrist! Even on it's smallest length, it will only stay fit on my forearm (and FYI, I'm 6' 5", 200lbs, soo...8-) It would be great if it had a more beefier & customizable, Velcro strap. I would definitely pair this with some fluorescent reflectors for your ankles (as the knees down are more noticeable than the waist up, to a vehicle)!

Decent, but a reflective vest will do just the same and better...
I'm using this on my calf as opposed to my arm, fits better, and compliments my Runners World reflective vest nicely. But the light is not all that bright honestly. It has two main points of light on either end of the white strip and the middle while lighted is not a very bright source of light. I wear it with one facing the direction forward and the other facing back. It adds a little more visability, but not a tremendous amount. four stars.

Great Light if you just want a signal.
I love the light but if you are looking for a light to illuminate the path then this isnt it. It's just there to signal cars, runners, and others that you are there. I really like how simple and light weight it is. Put it on your leg or arm and go. Not bulky and the battery is simple to replace. Easy to turn on and cycle through the three different settings.. on flash, on steady, and off.

Functions Well
This band functions very well. The LED light can be set to strobe or be steady. The light is strongest at the source and then gets dimmer as it goes around the band. Light is bright enough to be seen within about 100 feet. Battery life has not yet been determined, but it appears as if the battery can be replaced. Overall, a very good product.

The bus driver saw me from a quarter mile away
Well, that's what he said, anyway! I ride buses daily and bought two LED arm bands to make myself more visible at bus stops at night and in foul weather. They do the job! Two caveats: 1) It appears the batteries aren't replaceable; and 2) Use a safety pin to fix the strap after you've adjusted it it to fit your arm. Would buy it again.

Perfect
It fits pefectly (adjustable) and the battery seems to last forever. I've used it for two years and have accidently left it on overnight (on my jacket) and it's still working fine. If it keeps me from being run over just once, it will be worth the ten bucks (or so) that I paid for it.
