Very effective evening lighting, let's hope the summer evenings remain as lovely as they've been recently, because these are a pleasure to sit under in late evenings. I've placed these along our custom shed although they need fixing into place properly, probably with some staples of some sort. They don't come with anything to fix them up so it's worth bearing that in mind if you want to put them into a permanent position. The solar panel does have a ground spike though.The lights have a wonderful golden glow to them, and the variety of modes to choose from are pretty impressive. I particularly like the ability to reduce or increase the brightness and the timer which ensures that these lights aren't lit throughout the night until dawn if you don't like them left on. Some of the settings, such as brightness and timer, I think are only accessible through the remote control; I haven't found anything to operate brightness and timer from the back of the solar panel.The different modes themselves and the on/off switch can be accessed via two switches located on the back of the solar panel. The modes are also accessible from the remote control.The remote is a really easy one to operate, everything is self explanatory.These lights have good sized bubbly acrylic orbs (about the size of a 10 pence piece), moulded over each individual led light. They're firmly fixed on; I pulled a couple to see if they're likely to come off and the answer is a firm no. They should stay put and likewise they're not going to accumulate water. Fully waterproof it seems. Excellent! They're quite heavy little orbs too, so they need fixing into place firmly, or draping over things.The wires are dark green making them perfect for hiding in foliage or relatively inconspicuous in other areas of the garden.The solar panel is a good size, the manufacturer has ensured that there's a good surface area for catching sunlight on duller or shorter days. I might have possibly liked a larger mAh battery size than the 1200mAh provided but I'm not sure it would really make much difference over the winter months, because it probably wouldn't charge to a full capacity anyway. This time of year with all the daylight hours, the lights are staying on all evening into the night without issue so the battery capacity is just fine. Again, attention has been paid to making the solar panel and it's switches on the back fully waterproof. Probably the only thing that could succumb to wet winter weather is the screws on the back, which would probably benefit from a dob of grease to protect them from the elements. I think the screws would probably eventually rust. It's possible to undo the solar panel casing through these screws which means that the rechargeable battery can be replaced in the future when it stops holding it's charge. It's worth protecting the screws then.Very pleased with the ambience these lights provide and their good durable quality.

With the warm summer evenings now here, wanted some gentle background lights to go around the garden and these fit the bill perfectly. They only took about 15 minutes to install and place the solar panel in a suitable location.Each bulb is about the size of a 50p piece and are connected together by an unobtrusive dark green cable, so they are very inconspicuous where we have placed them on the bushes of our garden when not in use. The bulbs themselves see solidly made and waterproof as is the decent size solar panel,The remote control activates them, giving a lovely display, and it has various easy to follow options such as to turn off after a set time and vary the brightness as well as the basic on/off control.We are very pleased with these lights and would definitely recommend them..

The media could not be loaded.  The delivery of amazon was great! Received swiftly and the delivery man was really nice too. As I was not in home, he called me to confirm about the alternative delivery place patiently, which was really sweet.Am really happy about this purchase! I have looked for these kind of solar power light for a while, and always wanted to have one with remote. This one came exactly what I wanted! Function well and the light balls are cute like crystals, more nicer when you look at in the real life. Couldn’t wait to put in my garden! Look forward to it!

These do look great and when first put up worked perfectly. After about 5 months half the lights no longer came on. I thought it might just be down to low charge because of the darkness during winter. Now in May and it is clear that half the lights no longer work. They were cheap but I wasn't expecting to have to buy a new set so soon.

Disappointed ok how long they’ve lasted

I've had lots of solar lights in my garden, but these are by far the best I have tried. I put them over my pergola on my decking with the solar panel on top of a sunny fence and they really light it up in the night. They are really pretty globes and the little remote control is a nice touch. You just point it at the panel and you can have lots of different modes, flashing, dimmed etc. Also they seems to have a lot of power due to the large solar panel, they stay on a long time - probably all night on a fall charge. Overall I would recommend!

Just as advertised nice and bright evening when not to sunny out.

You can’t turn them on when you want, have to wait till it’s completely dark or put a towel over the solar panel. Have to turn them off each night, even if not using as they have a mind of their own, annoying for me and the neighbours. Instructions useless, apparently there’s a timer but god knows how to use it.Great lights but very annoying. Think I’m gonna have to take them down, can’t wait till 9pm every night to turn them off!
