These reels are amazing super smooth great response. Theses cast very easy and far higly recommended!Update 2020 still using this reel! It is still working just as great as it was the first day. I live in Florida and live on a lake so I fish just about every day.

I purchased this reel for a backup beater reel to keep in my car with me and honestly wasn’t expecting to much from it, but to my surprise it is a really nice reel. Its smooth and casts extremely well, I spooled it up with 50lb spiderwire braid and fished a frog, buzbait and some poppers. I caught 2 nice bass with it and the drag was strong but smooth when needed. If your looking for a cheap but nice quality reel you have found it here.

I arrived well packed and covered with bubble wrap (this might sound trivial but, you do not want a reel all beaten-up during transport). It looks quite similar to more expensive brand name reels. The black-and-wine color combination fits very cool. It is lightweight and compact for a good low-profile design. Though I still have to use it in the water, in my dry test-run I can tell that it is the smoothest baitcaster reel that I have tried. It only has 5 ball bearings but they must be of good quality do to the smoothness of its drag. Highly recommended for beginners in the baitcaster mode and for those that rather do not brake the bank when purchasing a reel.

I only got one backlash in my whole first day of using it even with the fact of having to get used to it and high winds.I just recently bought a $90 Shimano and was having constant backlashes. I returned it and ordered this praying that it would be good. I'm very happy to say that I'm pleased. Even with the same 2 lines I used with the Shimano, this reel performed better.

For the value, it's great. I started birdnesting it because I didn't understand how to cast it. But I set the brakes all the way to 10 and the tension just tight enough and I have no problems. I practice using the thumb so I can eventually get better, but I don't see why it would be necessary to not use the brakes anyways. I'm rating it 4 stars so you know I'm not getting paid to rate it 5 stars. Worth the buy.

This reel is very good for the price, it casts well, drag is good and is easy to set up. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good inexpensive baitcasting reel.

When I hold the reel, the first feeling is good. 10 speed magnetic brake is good enought for a beginner as dual brake is not useful for me. It marked different pound line capacity which is good. Smooth and easy operate. Anyway it is a good start for baitcasting

Still getting used to it. At first I was bird nesting on every cast. After googling how to solve that by making adjustments, It has gotten better. Occasionally still bird nests but not as bad as before.With a 7:1 gear ratio, I love the smoothness when reeling it in. Over time maybe it will be my go to daily reel.
