Great carrier. My cat loves it.
This is a nice carrier! I knew my cat loved it when she climbed right inside, totally ignoring the cardboard box it came in. I like how it has mesh on only two sides. I think carriers that have mesh on all four sides provide too much stimulation, especially for a pet that is easily spooked. It has good structural integrity and doesn't collapse on her. She has plenty of room to move around inside (she's about 10 lbs).

My cats and I loved these. When I received them - I opened them up and let them sit out on the floor a few days before our flight. They explored them and got in willingly. When it came time to leave, we sedated them for the flight (so they didn't move around too much) but the space was fine for my 2 large tabby cats (17 & 18 lbs) and I was worried that these might be too small for them. I had to take the cats out of the carriers at the security gate (note to others- carry a lint roller with you or another shirt to change into) and the zipper top was perfect for getting them in and out (thank goodness they were sedated - but the were awake for the security checkpoint). We loved that these have shoulder straps (in addition to shorter handles); we mostly used the shoulder straps (it was more stable as we carried them everywhere). The only feedback I'd recommend is having the fuzzy blanket attach with velcro (due to all the walking and swaying - my female somehow had it squished it up all the way in the back of the carrier). Highly recommend these and had no issues with the dimensions for our United flight.

Excellent product.
An excellent product. We bought it to transport my son's 20 pound cat. She's not only heavy, but she's tall and long. She fit in this carrier with room to spare. The carrier's bottom was sturdy, so I could loop the handles over my carryon's handle and wheel her through the concourse. The carrier fit under the airline's seat without a problem and because the seat was a bit higher than the quoted 10", she was able to sit up, turn around and generally be as comfortable as a cat on an airplane can be.

So far-- so good
My cat would not go in this at first. My cat is weird-not the carriers fault. I put it on the floor and kept the flap open. Still nothing. She likes to go in boxes and bags, but not the carrier for some reason. She went into a paper bag one day so I picked her up still in the bag and put it into the carrier. She stayed in it! After awhile, I took the bag out and now she goes into it all the time on her own! It is a good size with a fair amount of room for an adult cat. It has a nice soft blanket type matetial for your cat to sit on. I like that it has two closed sides and two screened sides. I like that you can just unzip the screen part on one end instead of the whole flap. This keeps the carrier from collapsing and keeps the structure upright. The snack pocket is a plus. The top opens, which I really love. It gives access to your pet so you can easily give them treats or just pet them and love on them without having to open the end flap. The shoulder strap helps to take the weight off your arms.

Awesome for my two kitties!!!
I bought two of these and they were lifesavers! We drove straight through to Florida from Ohio with two cats. The last time I left the cats out of their hard carriers, because I couldn't really see how they were doing. Coco got in the water dish then went to lay in the clumping litter. Of course he then decided to come see me...I had litter/clay all over me for the rest of the trip!!! This happened about an hour into the drive. It's funny now, but it certainly wasn't at the time. This time they both stayed in their carriers. They did meow at first, but then settled down. I really liked that I was able to see them and keep and eye on them through the case...just to make sure they were doing okay. This was definitely a much more pleasant ride down than the last time!!!

Great Design: Practical, Sturdy, and Our Cats Are Comfortable In Them
Have used these (I bought two of them) for our cats a few times, now. The cats seem happy enough to go into them when they must go for a ride. The bottom has a sturdy board, covered by a soft material; I make it more inviting to our pets by putting a folded bath towel in the bottom to make it a bit more warm and comfy. The construction is sturdy. The various zippers give you flexibility on how to open the bag (or just stick your hand in to give them attention if it's not yet time to let them out). I also appreciate that there are double zippers everywhere; you can tie the zippers together (wire twist ties work well) if you're worried about an an ambitious pet working the zippers open. It comes with a sturdy, comfortable, removable shoulder strap, just in case you need three hands but have only the usual two. There's even a fair-sized pocket at one end for treats or paperwork (which is handy for visits with the vet). It is easy to collapse the bag for storage (in the same way it comes when you buy it). I kept the nice, heavy, clear plastic bag it came in so that I can store it in that, on a closet shelf. It remains as nice as the day I bought it. Not a single complaint -- highly recommended.

... my cat and even though the item was in excellent condition and light weight
I bought this for my cat and even though the item was in excellent condition and light weight, it is a little too flimsy for my cat. Even though I was able to carry the cat which weighs only about 6 lbs in it, the cat didn't like it. She kept pushing her face into the mesh as she panicked about being taken anywhere. She ended up skinning her nose on the mesh and when we took her out of the carrier, her nose was bleeding. It is not the fault of the manufacturer, it is just not something that worked well for my pet. You would have to have a calm pet to use it or tranquilize the pet. I ended up reselling this item instead of returning it as it will do me no good to use it. A hard sided carrier will work much better for me even though they are heavier.
