So far, this amazing blender has produced commercial quality drinks and soups. It completely destroys ice with ease. Seriously, I've never had such creamy frozen drinks. And forget about going to the coffee shop - just DIY. Some ice, shot of expresso, your preferred milk or substitute and some caramel sauce and you'll have a yummy frappe drink. Green smoothies are also easily created and the machine does a good job of taking apart leafy items such as kale.I want to mention, some people question the fact that this model doesn't have a speed setting, only a timer and pulse switch, but I find that hasn't been a hinderance in the various different things I've used it for. If you don't want the food completely decimated, then simply pulse it a few times, no biggie.Finally, I have to point out the Turquoise color is very eye catching and unique. Sound wise, it is quieter than I expected although make no doubt, it's not a quiet machine. In closing, it's a big investment, but so worth it when you start cranking out restaurant quality drinks that are delicious and perfectly blended.**Edit - 6 Month Update**My Vitamix is still going strong 6 months in. I'm using it about 3 times a week and have not noticed any degradation in power or sharpness of blades. Now that summer is here, I'm especially enjoying it for low carb frozen margaritas! If you're interested in a tasty drink without all the sugar calories, try the below recipe, and enjoy!Low Carb Frozen Marg- 1.5 oz Tequila- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice- 1/4 tsp orange extract (this is key to getting that authentic flavor)- 1 tbsp artificial sweetener of your choice- glassful or 2 of ice, adjust as neededCombine ingredients in blender, blend for 15-20 seconds. Add ice if needed and blend until creamy consistency. Makes 1 drink, 2.5 carbs per serving.

We love our Vitamix! That said, I think we had built it up to mythical proportions in our heads after all the years of rotten blenders. The first time we used it I tossed a ton of frozen fruit and no liquid into the blender. Within a few seconds I started to smell a burning rubber odor and realized it was NOT blending properly! Turns out you do actually have to use a good amount of liquid. Once I managed to find the proper ratios it has worked tremendously well and we have been thoroughly enjoying it! I highly recommend it to everyone, just keep in mind even this blender is not perfect!

My refurbished Vitamix looks brand new, there wasn't a mark on it anywhere. Even my husband said it looked brand new! I really love this blender, its fast and very powerful! I have put celery, spinach leaves and chard leaves in it and in one minute there is nothing left but liquid! I have made homemade mayonnaise in one minute and it is the best tasting mayonnaise I ever ate. Smoothies, eggnog, and green drinks are so good. The best thing is,no pulp! I even made my own coconut milk, I admit I'm having fun! I'm very impressed! Don't hesitate in buying this blender!

Well its a great blender- I feel better about our family eating junk food at times knowing that they will happily drink a carrot and fruit smoothie afterwards. The vita mix works as advertised- crushes and blends anything I've put in there. I make "energy drinks" in it in the mornings,smoothies for after school snacks and for treats on the weekends, and hot soups for lunch the days I happen to be home.Cleans up super quickly. Yeah it is loud- but its a healthy loud:)The reconditioned models comes with a five year warranty, so I have no qualms about using it 2-3 times a day.Great product

I'd been pondering buying this blender for a good while and I must say that I'm glad I did. I'm so glad I decided to save money and get a refurbished one, it looks and performs like it's brand new. I've had other blenders, trying to find one that comes close to the Vitamix but they just didn't perform as expected. This has been a worthwhile investment, and I recommend it highly.

I have used my refurbished Vitamix 6000 for about 6 weeks now and love it. Like having my own personal 20-second counter-top shuttle launch. Quite the thrill. I was nervous about purchasing a refurbished item however, I have never spent so much money on a single appliance before so went the most economical choice. I am very pleased. Smoothies and cashew cream in seconds.

I really love this machine. Even tho I did not buy it from Amazon. I got one elsewhere. But it's quieter and I love the versatility of it. Vitamix takes care to make a durable product. I still have the first one I bought a 4500, works great still! I just needed to have more variables for my cooking.If you buy it youll be happy

I love it, the color, the low noise, the functions, just one little problem, it doesn't work with big ice chunks, you have to break them off before so the vitamix can do a beautiful smoothie for you.So far so good, :)
