Lightweight and durable, this Self Centering Jig allows you to accurately position holes for knobs or pulls on doors or drawers: A thumbwheel adjusts the center-to-center distance of two hardened drill bushings (bushings accept 3/16" drill bits) - inch and metric scales molded into the jig body permit at-a-glance setting and eliminate measuring. A third, fixed bushing permits drilling a single hole when installing knobs. An ingenious rack and pinion system cut into aluminum rails provides smooth operation and centers the jig. A second set of rails establishes the edge of the offset. Highly visible markings make set ups easy and eliminate tedious measuring. Drills center to center distances of 3", 3-1/2", 4", 4-1/2", 76mm, 89mm, 96mm or 112mm. Flip stops on the end of the horizontal rails allow use on doors or drawers or for off-center installations. Jig will self center on panels ranging in size from 3" x 7-1/4" through 24-1/2" x 39-1/4" but can also be used on larger panels. Injection molded plastic body is impervious to glue, water and most chemicals, CNC machined aluminum rails are strong and rigid and polymer flip stops are non-marring.
