The description of this book is extremely inaccurate. If you`re looking for a book that bashes the Bitish Nat`l Health System, `Big Pharma`, `Big Food`, and the western medical community im general then this is for you. "Go vegetarian and buy organic everything."The author has every right to be upset - his pancreatitis was misdiagnosed for a long time as anxiety attacks - but he speaks of just that: pancreatitis, health through diet, and alternative medicine (like Shaman healing) NOT kidney disease.I purchased the book as a family memeber was recently diagnosed with kidney disease and will begin treatments related thereto (dialysis, transplant options, etc.). I wanted information on the subject which this book simply does not provide.I`m by no means negating the importance of holistic approaches to medicine, understating the right to know what`s in our foods, or setting aside the obligation to ourselves of good nutrition. Bottom line, however, is that this book should be described, titled, and filed much differently.
