Hunting isn't their hobby. It's their calling. It's all they were made to do. In sixty years, they've never lost focus. They've never followed anything but their instincts. They've never let up. They still live for the chase, pursuing innovation from dusk to dawn. They're in the fields, the blinds and the stands, long after the fair-weather crowd heads inside. They do all of this to build incredible hunting boots, because at Irish Setter, the hunt never ends.

Boots not waterproof, as advertised...
I purchased these boots about a month ago hoping they would be a really nice pair of hunting boots because of being light weight... Wanted to wait until I had some real field use before writing a review... My review is, if your looking for a true waterproof boot DON'T buy these... After only a couple of times walking thru dew wet fields the left boot failed... Socks and inside boot completely wet... Very disappointed as I had high hopes...

Seriously disappointed
Light weight, well designed but for a 2E boot these didn't come close to being wide enough. Left forefoot was cramped while simply driving. Was not able to wear them for more than 10minutes as no level of "break-in" period would help widen the sole of the boot.Plenty of upper material available but the sole was drastically too narrow.Like many other companies, they simply add more upper material and call the boot "wide." I was seriously looking forward to wearing these after a lot of research and seeing that they are about the weight of a heavy pair of trail running shoes except for they are waterproof. Wish I could say I can keep them but they are being returned asap.

Love these boots, not so much
Love these boots. I wear them almost everyday and they are holding up great. Hiking to kayaking, I do it all in them and they really are waterproof, I wouldn't walk in water over 4.75 inches deep for too long as these aren't meant to be waterproof clear up the boot but you can submerge the main part of your feet with no problems. Very comfy.Update 6-19-2017After having these boots for a while, I must say that I'm a bit disappointed. I wore these pretty much daily for 8-9 months. The soles wore out pretty quickly, they are almost smooth on the bottoms now. The seam for the sole and the actual boot has come apart and some of the stitching on various other parts of the boot have worn out and split. I won't be buying another pair of Irish Setters after this experience. I've decided to give Rocky a try to see how their boots hold up.

The most uncomfortable boots I have ever purchased
The problem I am having with these boots are the right boot has some defect in the bottom that is very aggravating to my foot I've pulled the liner out put in my own liners and tried everything to get that booty fit better! Within an hour or two I can't walk on my right foot something defective with that boot. Unfortunately I thought I was buying a quality boot made by Irish setter but unfortunately this defect has left me somewhat undecided as to whether or not I would purchase an Irish setter product again?

Good boots
I have had these boots for two years, wear them for hunting and working outside. They fit as expected and have held up just fine. I would order again.

They were extremely comfortable. Very lite and no need for breaking in
The first time I wore them I walked for 8 hrs; it was 90 degrees and the vegetation was wet. They were extremely comfortable. Very lite and no need for breaking in; Other than sweat my feet were dry. Very pleased with the purchase. Looking forward with hunting with them in the early archery season.
