I have purchased 5 of these over time from different suppliers. I use them in aquariums for sensitive freshwater fish. Accuracy is poor, usually running 3.8 to 6.0F above temperature at 78F submersed. I have a calibrated test instrument to check them but a quick way to check them at home is the following. Get a large glass or insulated sippy cup and fill it with Crushed ice. It needs to be crushed. Stick a pencil in the middle and fill it with water. Wait a few minutes and remove the pencil. You will be left with a nice hole to stick your probe. Insert the probe. Wait 2 minutes then move it up and down a bit. If the gauge is accurate it should read exactly 32F. If not at least you know "approximately" how much to add or subtract at any given temperature. It could be further off or better let say at 72F room temperature.

Great product - Great seller
I needed a small thermometer with a wired probe that I could use to monitor the working temperature of an emergency ham radio transceiver that I was building into an ammo box with a lead acid battery for deployment in case of a major disaster or emergency. This fit the bill perfectly. THIS SELLER IS GREAT. The first thermometer was defective and quit working shortly after I got it. I contacted the seller and he went out of his way to make sure that I quickly got a working replacement.

Using these guys to monitor pool and hot tub temps... they just sit out in the rain and work fine! Fell in the pool a couple times, just tap out the water and works again. They lasted about a year like that (about as long as other thermometers do). Ordering more

Works flawlessly and the temp is very accurate!
