Pokemon the Movie 7: Visitor From The Space Fissure
(Just as a note, that's the Japanese title)There's something about this movie that I've always liked. I'm not sure what it is, but being a Pokemon fan, of course I like it. The movie have always been great, and this one has something that I really like about it.The movie starts out in the North Pole, with a scientist named Dr. Lund, his friend Yuko, and his son, Tory. There is suddenly an explosion, and Tory is trampled by a frightened pack of Walrein. And, as they say, after that, all heck broke looks.A meteor is the reason for the explosion, and the creature inside the meteor is more than your average Pokemon. Deoxys, a rare Pokemon from another planet (woah, more than one Poke-Planet? Niiice.) The strange creature, carrying a rock with a gem inside, is suddenly attacked by the large, dragon-esque Rayquaza, a frequenter of the Ozone Layer. So, what the heck is he here for?Ah, So Rayquaza feels threatened by Deoxys, and so, both pokemon break out in a rather spectacular pokemon battle. (With some pretty cool background music, might I add.) So, professor Lund flees with his colleages, and son.Four years later, a young Pokemon trainer named Ash Ketchum, along with some friends, enter the high tech city of La Rousse, and as fate would have it, Tory's hometown. And, well, I won't spoil it from there. The plot is good, and Deoxys' 'destructive' intentions are less cruel than one would think. Don't worry, folks, no angsty Mewtwo-copy here. Also, Rayquaza brings some nice battles into the movie. His fights against Deoxys are totally awesome. The soundtrack is also great. I really love the music played during The opening scenes of the movie, and the fights between Rayquaza and Deoxys. The animation is very spiffy, shiny bright and new :P.I haven't had the pleasure of watching the original Japanese version of the movie, but when I do, I'll tell you all about it, 'kay?Well, I guess that pretty much wraps things up. Oh yes, Tory's afraid of pokemon, due to the whole 'get attacked by a herd of walrein' thing. Heh. Okay then, Sayanora, faithful readers!

One of our favorites
My daughter loves Pokemon and so do I. This movie is great because it introduces a new character and has a great story. The animation is cool as usual with the Pokemon movies. Deoxys is really cool. I wish they made more movies with that character but there are so many others. Ultimately, if you like Pokemon. You can't go wrong by picking up this one. It's a keeper.

POGEYMANZ
Sorry for my illiteracy in the title, but I thought of this review sort of as a joke. I've always loved Pokemon ever since I got my Gameboy color for my 4th birthday. I remember staying home from school due to illness multiple times and somehow, this movie comes on. So, I enjoy this movie for the nostalgia effect. However, I bought this movie used and chuckled a bit when I opened the package due to the Blockbuster "2 Day Rental" sticker still on it.

Awful Film
The Hoen Arc marked a noticeable decline in quality for the Pokemon franchise, and Misty's departure at the conclusion of the first series is the point where many veteran Pokemon fans who'd watched since season 1 gave up, myself included. Now, over a decade later, I've been giving this Pokemon arc a second chance, and while I did enjoy movies 6 (Wishmaker) and 8 (Lucario + Mystery of Mew), I've got to say this one, #7, is the worst Pokemon movie I've ever seen. Beyond a few token jokes involving Munchlax and a hot dog vending machine, this film has almost nothing going for it. The plot is incoherent with a slow start, and that little boy, Tori, has no personality and takes far too much screen time away from the main characters. Team Rocket gets only a few brief unfunny cameos, which revolve around forced jokes. Further, the design for Deoxys as a character is creepy and totally unlikeable - I could go on. Right now you can get this movie cheap, about 5$ or under on Amazon, and that seems fair. I certainly wouldn't advise paying more for it. It's the type of film you can get away with sticking a child in front of, but an adult will be bored in five minutes. If you're looking for good Pokemon movies, then I recommend selecting one from the Kanto or Johto years - and if you simply must watch one from the Hoen region, go with 6 or 8.

Slowww beginning
Truthfully speaking, the beginning starts out slow and rather annoying; however, it teaches valuable lessons throughout the movie.

The story begins four years ago when a strange meteorite crashed landed on Earth and this particular meteorite holds a secrect. Our heroes meet a young boy is afraid of Pokemon. A mysterious aurora appears with 2 wierd pokemon known as Deoxys and Rayquaza begin battling. But it will take more than Ash and Pikachu to save the world, who will help them. Pokémon Has Done It Again!
This movie was good from start to finish. It was the type of Pokémon movie I always wanted to see. A lot of fun. I was hooked on the first battle scene. The movie felt fantastic in quality compared to the previous that I've seen!

Not one of the best Pokemon movies
The 7th Pokemon movie, this one, as the title suggests, focuses on Deoxys, a Pokemon that came from space on a meteorite. This was mainly purchased in order to work on completing the collection of Pokemon movies. Not one of the best Pokemon movies, I find, it's your standard affair, fair amount of action scenes of battles between Deoxys and Rayquaza - but it'll keep children occupied for a while, and they seem to enjoy it...

At last
Finally the movie has been released here in the UK, took them long enough. Not my favourite movie but i'm glad it's out here and the price is a steal. The Menu screen is terrible I must say that and there is no special features what so ever, which is a shame as the US release did. This is a bare bones. If you are a Pokemon fan this is must buy and hopefully they will release Movie 8/9 soon so we have all of the films...at last released here.
