Great customer support, great product - delivered data, phone, and peace of mind!
I'm so happy with this purchase! I was taking a trip to Mexico and didn't want to pay the outrageous rates for phone and data from my carrier. I did some research and came across this SIM card from this seller. I had some questions, as I'd never put a SIM card into my iPhone 5, and the communications back and forth with Vincent at Mexico SIM Card were great! He answered all my emails and questions (there were many before purchase (which size? which plan? what do the different plans mean?), and a few after) so I felt that whatever issue I might have, he would provide support. And since I waited till only a few days before my trip to seriously look into SIM cards, time was of the essence. So I'm grateful for Vincent's quick responses, and Amazon Prime! I had NO issues with the SIM card. It came with a packet of useful instructions, and a handy little tool to pop the SIM Card tray open. The card worked perfectly, and gave us the peace of mind that we could be reached by family at home, and could make calls while we were in Mexico, without any concerns. We didn't end up using it as often as we thought we would, but it was worth every cent for the times we did use it, and the knowledge that the phone was ready to go when we needed it. (We got lost on the way from our hotel to the wedding we were going to, and I was able to pull up Waze and find our way, thanks to the SIM card! And one day we needed to contact our hotel's front desk and our room phone didn't work (nor was their wifi working) - thanks again SIM card!) I highly recommend working with Vincent at Mexico SIM Card if you are traveling to Mexico!

Data and Cell worked great.
This was a very useful sim card. I was able to use what's app and hangout to make voice/ video calls. I use the minuets to call my credit card company, and taxi card services. I tried to use uber for the first time, but uber wouldn't let me. Making calls was hard I had to try different county codes to try and get it to work, but it did. I recommend reading about country codes and calling internationally. I was in a very remote village 3 hours south of Mexico city. Telcel web site said I would have no service, but I did have 3G (H+) service. I will buy this again next time I go to mexico. I activated it a day ahead of my trip. I connected to a network, but I couldn't make any call/data from the US. Makes sense.

Worked Perfectly In Puerto Vallarta on my Unlocked Moto G5 Plus - Loved it
We live in the U.S., had visited Puerto Vallarta 3 times over the last several years and had never used our cell phones while there unless in airplane mode connected to wifi. On our most recent visit in February 2019 I decided to give the "Telcel Mexico Prepaid SIM Card with 2.5GB Data and Unlimited Calls and SMS Universal SIM" a try since we were going with another couple who had never been there. I thought it might come in handy when we were out & about mostly for the data usage so we could use Google Maps, Google Translate, etc. Also, we were staying at an AirBnB, so I wanted to be able to call the property manager or text them if need be. I followed the directions that came with the card before we left by logging on to their website to let them know the dates we would be in Mexico. I installed their sim card on the airplane before we landed in Mexico. I first attempted to use it while we were walking through town trying to find a restaurant, it didn't work on my first attempt so I went to settings/network & internet/mobile network (which was now showing as "Telcel") and realized I had to make one click to turn on "access data using mobile network". Once I did that, it worked beautifully for both data usage and receiving or making a call. I've seen other reviews complaining that they received texts in Spanish - Hello, you're in Mexico and it's a Mexican phone company, what do you expect?! All I did was copy their texts & put them into Google translate, they were wanting me to download something (maybe it's to set-up voicemail or something like that) but I didn't bother to do it since it was working beautifully and I would only be using it for a week. Thanks, Telcel, I will use you again!

Excellent service
Excellent idea! I've been using GSM phones (and swapping SIM cards when traveling internationally) since 1996, but I always have to try to find a place to buy one when I arrive in a new country and have to wrestle with the language. This removed all the stress! I had the SIM before I left, tested that it worked and just started using it as soon as the plane landed! Vincent and Sofia have been super nice and helpful, and quickly answered any email question that I had. To all those who are having issues, keep in mind that none makes SIM cards in their kitchen. Tens of millions of them are made by just a handful of companies in the world and the likelihood that you actually have a bad one is negligible. Swap a SIM card with a friend that uses a different carrier and see if you can place and receive calls. If not, your phone is not unlocked. Once it works, check that you don't have anything like "disable international roaming", "block international calls", "disable data while roaming", etc., etc. turned on. The only time you have a problem with the SIM is when your phone actually displays "No SIM". And even in that case, it's more likely that the contacts in your phone are oxidized, which is why those SIM-change kits usually contain a small file, this actually happened to me many times. Oh and there's no reason not to test the SIM card before you leave. It will just, in all likelihood, display "No carrier". Which is fine, it means that the phone can read the card and Telcel just has no roaming agreement with any of the carriers in your area - which would be relevant to a Mexican person coming to visit you. Happy travels!

Mexico sim card
This sim card turned my iPhone 7 onto the Telcel phone network in a matter of seconds. All one needs to do is to turn off your phone, remove the existing sim card and replace it with the Mexican sim. It works great.I did this swap in my hotel room and, due to poor reception inside, I thought I had a problem. The support team answered my queries immediately, after which I realized the problem. I highly recommend it if you are going to Mexico and have an unlocked phone.
