Strong, sturdy, stays clipped to my belt loop. Good product!
I have used this for a week and so far it is excellent. Much stronger and sturdier than the little plastic clip on ones. I have seen some complaints that the spring clip on the carabiner easily breaks. The spring action on the clip is stiff and strong, and the connector pins offset to provide extra strength and stability against the clasp easily coming loose (see picture.) It may be that, because of the spring strength, people are using extra force and twisting it when putting it on their belt. It's not indestructible - but I use my badge sometimes 30 - 40 times a day at the printer and when going to and from various buildings at work and the cheap retractable reels will only last a few weeks. I will update this review in a month or so once I put more wear and tear on it.

Great Badge Holder. Needed to replace about every ~14 months.
I have found these to be a great ID badge holder. I have to wear a badge daily to tap and swipe in to spaces. I pull the badge to a swiper/tapper about 50+ times in the day.The spring is stiff, making this appropriate for a couple of cards in a card holder pouch with no problems. The cable is long enough to reach any swipe or tap locations, and the clip is fast release and fast clip on a belt or other loop. The snap for the hole on the card or ID holder is strong and I never had a problem. I did have to take my ID off the snap once a month but the snap and loop remained strong.The cable resists fraying for quite some time, but as soon as it starts, as soon as you notice any change, I recommend replacing. Or just change it once a year.I am on my 3rd one from the pack. Purchased 12/2016. The first I replaced as the cable was getting frayed, The second, the head at the end of the cable with my ID attached vanished. So, in almost 29 months, I have lost one ID with these. That is my fault, as I did notice a tiny bit of what I thought was the start of fraying a week ago.These are well made and sturdy. I recommend them. I will purchase again.

Haven't had to go to HR every two weeks to get a new badge holder. I was always breaking the clip on holders when I sat down and ran into the desk or chair arm. Since this one hooks to a belt loop and is allowed to move it doesn't get smashed when sit down. I'm sure it will wear out sometime but I have three left for replacements.

Well made, work great
These work precisely like they're supposed to. I need to badge in quite frequently, and they work great for that, and seem very sturdily made. Some have said they do not support their badge holders. Mine seem to retract pretty strongly, but I don't put my badges in a container when they're on a lanyard, so I can't speak to that.Some reviews say that they won't support their keys. I don't know if Amazon is mixing up reviews of key chains with these, or if the buyers are confused as to the product. These are retractable badge holders. I don't even know how you'd attach keys.

Sturdy!
Very fun and convenient. I'm a manager at a restaurant and I have to swipe my card every 10 seconds for something. Glad it came with 4, one of them broke because servers kept yanking on it and letting it smack against the holder. It eventually took one too many yanks and fell apart but it took a beating before it got there.

Quite an Upgrade
These are great little reels, and quite the upgrade from the typical badge holders that companies typically issue for free. The reel itself is smaller than typical - just a bit bigger than a quarter around and as thick as 4 quarters stacked- which makes for a nice, subtle package. Retraction is strong, though I haven't tested it with something heavy like a ring of keys. Clip is positive. Seems like it will last for years.

Light duty, disposable
Light enough for lanyard use. Not strong enough for belt line use. I went through one every two months or so. Cheap enough to replace. Buy an extra pack. You may need it.

So far so good, no breaking and plenty of cord to hit the door key pads. I hook them on to my belt loops however every once in a while not often, they have come off the loop when getting out of my car. Probably because of my belly. LOL
