Wow
I bought this book because it looked interesting on the surface. Boy I'm glad I did. This is one fantastic graphic novel, if only for the art. The artist is extremely talented, and his style is a cross between Indian painting and 1980's Disney Animation (Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin). But this book isn't just all art. The story of Krishna, the 8th Avatar of Vishnu, is extremely well told and easy to follow. It is done in a way that is grand and mythological, yet also respectful of the Hindu religion. I strongly recommend this book to anyone interested in art, animation, or just a well told story.

Beautifully illustrated and written
I purchased this book because I liked some of the artwork I saw from excerpts. It did not disappoint. Singh’s illustrations could be blown up and framed as art pieces. And the story is well written also - a hauntingly spiritual journey through Krishna’s life. We experience not only his power and splendor, but also his pain and sadness. Well worth the purchase.

WOW. just wow.
Purchased this as a gift for a dear mentor and casually opened it upon arrival. Proceeded to sit down for some hours and read the entire thing, while my soul savored every bit! It is BEAUTIFUL. Exquisite. A fresh and accessible (but not simplified) exploration of an ancient deity and the universal truths that his experiences with humanity are meant to represent. I was exhausted when I returned home and started reading this and now I feel energized. Buy this for yourself and as a gift for special people because the act of giving something so lovely to another is powerful and surely won't be forgotten! The art is all it seems to be and much more, the writing poetic. That what accomplishes saying much with few words is the highest feat. A treasure.

A Beautiful Telling of the Tale of Krishna
This book by Singh is one of the most beautiful works I have ever seen. Telling the story of Krishna through the eyes of the deity himself at the end of his life, each page is a unique and beautiful illustration. The story is easy to follow, and the art lends itself to the telling of the tale. The book has a sad ending, but it is poignant if you know anything about the myth of Krishna. I would recommend this for everyone except for children under the age of 13, as there is some violence and subject matter that may be difficult for young children to understand.

Master Piece Collection
Undoubted, This is a master piece from Abhishek Singh. His ingenuity and creativity is at its best in the book. Each page is priceless,I like his work of art, which fuses between traditional mythological art to modern day illustration. Simply amazing.I strongly recommend this work of art deserves to be printed in a much larger size format.

Beautiful
I was not sure what to expect with this book. Once I started reading it, the story was told beautifully with words and graphic depictions. Very pretty and easy to read.

Excellent art - story telling could be better
Great trade! The art itself is worth it. If there is ever a supersized version, I would def think of getting it to show off the art.The story-telling can improve - but Krishna's story is so vast, that i'm sure its impossible to fit into a trade. I wouldn't have mind a multi-volume arc.None the less, excellent product by the creative team!
