Lucky Star, Vol. 7

Entertaining continuation of the manga that diverges from the anime
From the perspective of a fan of the Lucky Star anime and manga, this was a very enjoyable read -- we have entirely passed all of the anime's contents, so this is entirely new material. The main group of girls have graduated high school and are beginning to go to college. Of course, this is not a particularly plot-based series, so this development isn't as important as one might think, and the series is still at its core a humorous 4-panel with an interesting group of characters. If you've been following the series, you'll enjoy this. If not, it might be somewhat inaccessible, and I'd suggest starting at the beginning.

One of the great modern/moe manga, whitewashed by a whitewashing translator
I am the biggest fan of Lucky Star, and the new volumes of the manga show what Konata and friends have been doing since graduating from high school/going to college (yes, the Lucky Star story continues after the anime).Nevertheless, the English translator for this series whitewashed this series to no end, especially in reference to particular elements of otaku culture, such as idols and lolicon (which apparently, the translator personally despises).Maybe it's okay for some manga to be whitewashed, but for a series as Japan-centric as Lucky Star, this is definitely a no for me. My recommendation: learn Japanese, and read the untouched original.

Great Manga
This is a manga about the main characters starting college. It is so funny, just like the other volumes that came before it.
