Live at Ground Zero Blues Club

Watermelon Slim and the Workers put on a great show at Ground Zero Blues Club in Clarksdale. Special guests are: Mr Jimbo Mathus Electric Slide guitar TRACKS 5,6,7; Mr. BIG GEORGE BROCK TRACKS 6,7; and Mr. CHARLIE MUSSELWHITE on track 14. All 16 tracks are great and the mix is fine.A good interview with Watermelon Slim and 3 other shorts make up the Special Features section.If you like Slide Guitar Blues sung with emotion and a kicking show, you will not be disappointed ... It is just a shame a 16 X 9 aspect ratio wasn't used when filming.

This is how live performances should be enjoyed - live and intimate with us the audience being close to the action. Watermelon Slim is one hell of an entertainer and on this set, he mixes it up doing some acoustic stuff as well as lots of numbers with the Workers with Slim on either harmonica or electric dobro. There are also special guest appearances from Big George Brock on harmonica, Jimbo Mathus on electric slide guitar and Charlie Musselwhite on harmonica. Good selection of tracks and as always, Watermelon entertains - not bad for an old truckdriver. Very much recommended viewing.

I have never seen Bobby Rush perform before but, after watching this dvd I can say he is truly a great entertainer! I didn't get bored watching this because he kept you laughing and his dancers were also good. Fun to see the women shaking what they got! Interesting to see Morgan Freeman come on stage dancing.

Loved the music and the entertainment. Bought my first album by him about 1970.Bobby Rush is a "Down-to Earth" easy to talk with, non "High & Mighty" person.No body guard, just a regular, good performing, talented man.

I brought this DVD for my boyfriend for a couple of reasons.First, he like bluesSecond, he loves big butts!!!!!This DVD is overall pretty good, but if you are looking for some booty shaking dancing you may want to get this.......You won't be disappointed. I think we laughed the entire time the we watched it. LOL

SLIM IS A TRUE AMERICAN MUSICIAL ICON. THE PERFORMANCE ON THIS DVD IS OVER THE TOP. IN MY OPINION,THIS IS SOME OF THE FINEST SLIDE GUITAR WORK EVER RECORDED LIVE. SUPPORT THIS ARTIST AND BUY THIS DVD. YOU'LL BE AMAZED AT JUST HOW GOOD SLIM IS.

Don't take the "deals" on this product, you get what you pay for. I have the original issue & wanted one for a friend, and half price or less was irresistible...until it just did not play, a blank disc in the box. OK, Amazon graciously replaced, it played one track and quit, never to even do that again. Tried on several players...at that price just not worth the effort to return again.

Vous pouvez reprendre mes factures depuis 2004 et constater les sommes considérables que j'ai laissées sur votre enseigne en14 ans!!!! Je commence aujourd'hui: Je vide mon panier en attente et ce que j'avais mis de côté pour plus tard et je commande ce dont j'avais besoin chez vos concurrents qui livrent vite, gratuitement et payent des impôts en France. J'ai supprimé ma carte de crédit.. Je souhaite recevoir un signe de bonne volonté ,par mail mais surtout dans les médias car nous sommes en train d'organiser un boycott d'Amazon en France, si vous persistez à enfreindre nos lois. Tout le monde met la main à la poche pour améliorer la situation des plus défavorisés mais il suffirait que les plus gagnants remplissent leur devoir tout simplement, pour que tout aille mieux.
