We came up with the selvedge 4-way stretch (season neutral at 10.5oz and with 2% stretch in the weft and 2% stretch in the warp) to give our jeans the perfect amount of 360 degree, multi-directional stretch without compromising the authenticity of Japanese Denim. These jeans, made in-house at our factory in LA, use Japanese thread and every pair incorporates the attention to details that you’d expect from KATO’. They will fade like raw denim should… except they are more comfortable than any other jeans you have ever tried on. No one except you will know that you are wearing “stretch” jeans. Once you try them on you will be hooked!

Very well made pair of jeans
Runs a bit smaller than J Brand or Rag & Bone. I wear 33x34 in those, but got size 34 and it fits well. The fabric is as heavy as APC raw denim, but a lot softer. The fit is slim, but not too slim with just the right amount of stretch. Overall very happy with the purchase, and will likely buy again.

I also purchased the black version with the same size and cut and they fit fine. Not sure if they have changes the sizing ...
I tried replacing an old pair with the same cut and size and it was too small. I also purchased the black version with the same size and cut and they fit fine. Not sure if they have changes the sizing on newer pairs or if they are just inconsistent.If you can find a pair that fits, they are very comfortable pants and have a great color after they break in.
