Review: Small but bright - I carry this flashlight every day for work. It sits in my back pocket right beside my wallet and I can’t even tell it’s there until I need it. I like the slim compact size and it’s very bright. I use Eneloop rechargeable AAA’s and swap two fresh ones off the 4 bay charger every morning. The batteries would probably last me all week but it’s just a routine that ensures I always have a bright light. It goes with my keys and wallet so it’s there every morning. I have bought 4 of these so far. (They are small and like I said before fit beside my wallet in my back pocket and I guess maybe they fell out and I lost two of them). I also have a Streamlight Macrostream which is a single AA battery but it is too small for my liking but is just as bright as the Pelican 1920 (2 AA length). I like the Streamlight because I can plug right into a usb but with my Eneloop rechargeable batteries I prefer the Pelican 1920 just because the length makes it easier to keep up with. Both lights are about $30 and you will need rechargeable batteries with the Pelican but they have lasted me several years with many recharges and I don’t see any lack of performance. The best flashlight is one you always have with you and I always have the Pelican 1920. I normally don’t write reviews but when desertcart sent me a request I felt compelled to share my experience.

**Q: Description says its .25 inch wide. Is it really 1/4 inch wide?**
A: It is a pen light. Small but very powerful.

**Q: Is this light intrinsically safe?**
A: My original 1920 gen 1 version is intrinsically safe.  That is why a lot of people offshore carry them.  I do not know about this new version.

**Q: my gen 1 1920 just clicks on and off.  I do not want to cycle through.  do you click one for low, again for high, and again for off?**
A: my 1920 is one click on one click off…no hi or low.  it wither on or off.  I love it.  Hate how other lights have to cycle through all the settings.  for my use on/off is sufficient
