This little dehumidifier is incredibly easy to use but not the best solution to humidity. Set up was quick; open box, plugin one wire to the other to the machine then the wall and walla- it was on. I bought it for my apartment's small bathroom, maybe 100ft2. The humidity gets up to 99% after a shower and the fan was not particularly effective since nothing in the room ever dried. This brought the humidity down to 58% in eight hours in combination with the fan and the bathroom was finally able to dry. However, I have had to leave it on nonstop to keep the humidity that low. I have been using it for a week now and have not needed to empty it once leading me to concerns of inefficiency. Though the low maintenance is great, that also means that not much water is being pulled from the air. Less than one cup per day I think (there are lines on the removable tub to measure water collection). It has been able to keep up with running nonstop without getting too warm however I have concerns about the sustainability of this method since the machine is not designed to be run so consistently.My largest concern with this device was that it does not turn off automatically when the humidity reaches a certain low or back on if the humidity goes up. I dislike running it this continuously and feel that I am wasting electricity. Primarily for this reason, I am returning the dehumidifier for a larger one with automatic on and off based on humidity levels. After my wife accidentally dropped water all over the kitchen counters the kitchen had a bad smell of humidity. I decide to purchase a dehumidifier to help reduce the bad smell. The bigger more expensive models cost a lot more and the electricity they consume is noticable. Is true they work faster and better but after a week of owning you end up with a big unit you don't want and consuming electricity like a portable A/C. This dehumidifier work well and it takes a comple of days to pick up water but after using it can be store in a closet and the electricity it consume is mi nimal. For a regular home this unit work excellent so far it pick up almost a gallon of water within 1 week. The power cord get hot so I place it on top of something that doesn't induce heat. The more humidity you have the better it works and more water it will pick up. I let it run nonstop for days and you can't hear any noise coming from the unit. I will be ordering another one for my mother.

I was living in a very small apartment and during the summer time, moisture was just building up in my bedroom so I bought this. It does the job of absorbing the moisture but it fills up quickly- naturally because there was a lot of moisture. I just wish it made a noise when it was full. But other than that, works great.

3/18/2020 I am updating this review after using it for three months and downgrading it to three stars. It does work but at a room temp of 70f the Peltier technology struggles to get the humidity below 60%. I put it into a closed closet and running continuously it can only bring the humidity down to about 55%.----This dehumidifier is very quiet and it does work. It's not as effective as a compressor dehumidifier and with a relative humidity of 55% and 68f it only pulls a few ounces out of the air every day. At warmer temperatures and higher humidity levels it really shines.The catch container can be a bit difficult to remove, requiring a pretty firm pull before it pops loose. A bit if careful trimming of the plastic with a sharp knife can make it easier to remove though. And it would be nice if you could turn off the LED's but some electrical tape can cover them if needed.

The LATITOP Dehumidifier is a small attractive appliance with sleek lines. I use it to reduce the humidity in my musical instrument room and I measure the humidity with several hygrometers in the room and in the guitar cases. It works very efficiently to reduce the humidity even in tropical climates.It has an auto shut-off mechanism that stops the dehumidifier when the water tank is full and an LED light turns on to let you know the tank is full. It does not have an auto shut-off for stopping the humidifier when the humidity reaches a certain level as I have seen in other dehumidifiers I have owned. However, it is remarkably quiet, which is important in a music room. Emptying the water tank is a remarkably simple operation that I need to perform every week or two. Overall, I am happy with the results and I would recommend it.

This is a middle sized dehumidifier at a foot tall and able to hold up to 64oz of water. The nice thing is that once it does fill up it will turn off. It does fill up pretty quickly so I need to remember to check on it at maximum once a month. It is quiet so I can see this being used inside the house if I had the problem there as well. Overall I like this midsized dehumidifier than seems to work well.

Simple and easy to use. Works as described. Would have liked to have the auto shut off apply when tank is removed. Having it shut off when tank is full then removing it to discard the water only to have it turn back on without the tank was unexpected. Picked up another unit from a different brand that is slightly smaller but much quieter and stays off when tank is removed or full. Would like to have a bit more control. Lights are nice touch but would have like to be able to dim or turn off.
