This is my third copy. I regard this book as an essential text for understanding Aikido from the man who developed it and those of his family (and those within the many dojos) who maintain it.It is easy to forget that the fundamentals are not only physical, but psychological, intellectual and spiritual as well and this book is aptly titled.The Japanese language version is titled 'Aikido no Kokoro' and the word 'kokoro' denotes the very heart of a matter-in depth as well as breadth, almost a tangible, 'felt' quality. 'Spirit' as is commonly understood in the West (aside from a 'spirit of enthusiasm, etc.) is a broad and almost wispy concept. Both 'Spirit' and 'Kokoro' are very applicable here-like Emptiness and Fullness.Highly recommended as a read and better as an addition to your gear bag or backpack!

A great book by a great man and legendary Aikido master.

My Husband was super thrilled to receive this book on his birthday. The condition of the book was excellent and he is excited to read it.

A very good read, if you want to understand more about how Aikido works on a higher level, recomended for those who think they know all there is to know about Aikido and have not read this book.
