Organic 100% Natural Latex Topper - Soft - 3" Twin Size - Organic Cover Included

My Certified GOLS Queen Size 3" Soft topper came in today at 11:30am (12-17-2019)Came in a box 10"x10"x44", weighs about 44lbs.Opened the box at top, threw the box on the mattress width wise and pulled out the box, leaving the cellophane wrapped topper on the mattress.Unrolled topper standing at the foot end of my mattress, just rolled the topper forward and then pulled it back, forward, back etc....at some point the decompression of the latex foam will start to split the cellophane and it will slowly decompress.Absolutely no odor of any kind or off gassing during the 11 hours of decompression.The topper was a perfect fit for my Queen size mattress.I ordered mine with the cotton cover (encasement) and glade that I did (highly recommend that), being a Queen size, it was folded across its width, so I had to turn it 90 degrees so that the NESTLED tag and zipper would be at the foot of the mattress. Since it was encased, that made it easy to slide on the existing mattress cotton quilt (I'm going to leave that on the mattress for now).It has labels at the head of the topper (opposite the zipper and NESTLED tag) stating that its GOLS certified.The encasement cover is stretchy and feels strong but it is somewhat sheer, not to be used as any kind of water absorption/wicking cover. It's just there to retain (encase) the latex foam, which is what I want and I recommend getting it. Be sure to use a mattress spill protector.I was concerned about the height of the topper as I have seen a reviewer show that his/there’s was 2.5 inches.I can positively state that mine is 3” as ordered (very happy about that), I measured it after about 1.5 hours of decompression.Never having slept or layed on a latex mattress, I had a hard time deciding what firmness to get (soft or medium) to soften my firm mattress. I weigh 220 pound and sleep mostly on my sides in a fetal position or what I call the “Captain Morgan” position (on my side with one knee up and shoulder slightly forward about 45 degrees). Also at start of sleep I lay on my back with knees up or out, just to decompress from the days strains and stresses before falling asleep.12-18-2019:So, for me, at 220lbs and with some lower back issues, my first night’s sleep was very pleasant, the topper did exactly what I wanted it to do. The latex foam cushioned my mattress and at the same time gave me great support, fantastic!I might have been just as happy with the 2” topper but right now I have no regrets ordering the 3inch, I wish I knew about latex 20 years ago! Very happy with the topper and my purchase.Laughs and giggles:So I layed flat on my stomach ( as a stomach sleeper might do) just to see if my hips would sink in, nope, stayed flat on the topper, no lower back arching (pain). I don’t sleep that way but just wanted to check, this is just me, 220lbs. average build (no beer gut/ protruding stomach). If there's two of you having adult fun, make your own decision.Lastly, I previously had a 3inch Polyurethane foam topper and having lower back issues and my overall bed height being over 29inches, I built a 4inch platform/step and it makes a huge improvement in getting in and out of bed, just fyi.

I've always been unhappy with my mattress, even after five years. It took it a long time to soften, but I always struggled to get a solid night's sleep. I hate memory foam, and my mattress, thankfully, doesn't have a big memory foam top, but the coil system is a bit firm. I'm a side sleeper and read that a soft latex mattress would be best. I wasn't ready to completely toss my mattress, so I tried this topper. I looked at several different ones and chose this one based on value. Besides being organic, it also comes with a cover.As others have pointed out, it can sometimes be easy to tear a latex topper. That's because they are dense and filled with holes. So, if you grab a corner and tug too hard, you might rip it open. Covers are important because they make it much easier to drag and position the topper. This will come in handy should you decide to flip it every year or so. The cotton cover allows the topper to breathe so you stay cool. So, organic + cover = big value.One of the biggest changes I noticed - I sleep much cooler. Latex also doesn't have that sinking feeling you get from memory foam. There's a bounce to this. You definitely sink into the 3" of latex, but the minute you shift positions, it immediately bounces back. It's like sleeping in a giant sponge.I sleep longer and deeper and wake up with no aches or pains. I wish I'd bought this years ago.

We have stacked a king, 9" firm organic latex mattress, a 3" medium firm organic latex topper and this 2" soft organic latex topper. Together it is perfect to sleep on. The 9" mattress and 3" topper together, was too firm. Adding the Naturally Nestled soft, 2" topper has made our bed perfect for sleeping. It is comfortable and supportive for side sleeping, or back sleeping. We previously had a memory foam mattress, and we would sink out of sight and wake up with back pain.Our only disappointment is the new 2" Naturally Nestled latex topper is not 76" wide, it is about 74" wide. The 3" latex topper from Naturally Nestled was just right in all regards. So we have about a 1" gap in width, on each side of our stacked creation. This defect does not affect our sleep, but still it shows a lack of manufacturing consistency. For sleep it is a 5 rating, but overall, I must rate it a 4, because we are missing about 2" of width on top.

This topper is affordable, but more importantly it adds the exact amount of extra softness my husband and I wanted for our new Talalay hybrid mattress. The mattress is fine, but I really wanted just a couple of more inches of the latex. This topper fit the bill! It cushions my pressure points so I wake up pain free, and it sleeps cool because if it’s construction with holes perfectly spaced in the latex. It’s certified organic, and is contained in an organic cotton cover. It makes getting out of bed very difficult in the morning because it’s like sleeping on a cloud. Love it and highly recommend it.
