I was excited to receive and try this rope as I've been using a cheap weighted rope that I bought at a large retail department store for the last year as a key part of my cardio and weight-lifting workouts.The quality of the handles is great. They are solid and weighty with a nice anodized red finish. The caps of the handles screw in solidly - no concerns with them popping off or cracking. The bearings seem smooth, but did not spin as easily as I would have expected - there seemed to be some resistance.The cable is very light and super flexible and herein lies the problem... the light and flexible rope did not spin well at all. I can only describe it as "floppy" and "uneven". I can get a good rhythm, both fast and slow, with the cheap rope, but not at all with this one.This is a case of aesthetics not equaling function or performance. I'm sending the rope back and will stick to my cheap rope until I find a suitable replacement.

I just got this rope delivered today so I’ve only tried it out a couple of times. I’m very new to jump roping but really enjoying it. I work out regularly and jumping rope is a great addition to my cardio selection and rotation. I started with a speed rope which fortunately, I was still able to use but as I started to do more research, I’m learning that a weighted rope has some great benefits for beginners like me. With this rope, You can really feel feedback and increased momentum that the added weight offers. The build quality appears to be very high, especially with the mechanics of how smooth and quick the rope spins. Not that it should matter, but the handles look like works of art, and they feel great in my hands. Only time will tell how durable the cable is but if anything changes, I will update this review. This rope is more expensive than your average jump rope...even pricier than other weighted ropes, but when you compare it to the Cross Rope jump ropes, this thing is a bargain. Those ropes are way over priced so I’m hoping Train Elite can offer them some quality competition. It would be great if they sold additional, heavier cables that could be swapped out like the Cross Rope jump ropes. However, for now, I am LOVING this new rope!

I've been doing some comparison shopping for a quality jump rope that was reasonably priced and just happen to come across this one. After reading the reviews I decided that I would give it a try. I'm so very happy that I did because this is an excellent, quality made jump rope! The handles really are comparison to the $100 + ropes that are being sold. And the actual jump rope is very easy to use as well as easily adjustable. Not only that, it comes in a very nice velvet tote bag. I have not jumped rope in years but this jump rope was extremely easy to use! You will not be disappointed with this jump rope!

When I first got this rope I liked it. The handles may be a little slim but my main complaint is the durability of the rope itself. The coating has worn off the contact point in the middle of the rope exposing bare metal. It is not only sharp, but also catches on the ground material if the surface is even slightly porous. I have used dozens of jump-ropes but this one is disappointing that it can't even last 10 months, with only about 6 months of consistent use.Edit: The braided metal rope has completely snapped.

Been using it for a month now almost daily, compared to my speed rope, the rotations in the handles very nice!Get a little scratched on the bottom of the rope but that’s because I jump on concrete. But I think it’s durable enough to no have loose plastic everywhere.One thing is every time I jump, sometimes I hear something metal falling out and hitting the wall behind me. I don’t know what it is yet but...it’s like a metal bead or something.

I’m a strong guy and this is the first rope to ever wear me out. The rope and the handles are both heavy! Worked my shoulders and had my heart rate through the roof! During my second workout with it I decided to take the weight out of the handles - and it performs even better than the speed rope I already own! Great for all types of fitness!

I’m obsessed with this jump rope! The packaging and quality are so high end, the rope itself is this awesome material that doesn’t tangle or get twisted. I’m a little shorter (5’3”) but it’s so easy to adjust the handles to shorten the rope! I’ve bought similar products in the past and this one doesn’t even compare. Highly recommend it for home workouts or taking with you to the gym!
