Fit right in. No problem at all. Works great.

this unit does not fit older doughboy pool skimmer openings, make sure you measure first, had to return this cuz it didn't fit, was too big and i'm not drilling or cutting a new hole in my pool siding or liner.

The one I received was not what was in the photo. However, the supplier was generous in return policy

The door doesn't have as much buoyancy as the genuine Dough-boy which causes it to not skim the surface as well. Basket is also tiny compared to OEM. Will be replacing it again next spring with the OEM skimmer. One star because it does function, just poorly compared.
