You Might Not. *by P***H on Reviewed in the United States on March 26, 2015* I had just received a cherry Amazon Kindle Fire HDX on eBay for pennies and I waited for it to arrive to make sure I was satisfied with it and then I went to order a case.You are presented with myriad options on here. I really didn't want a generic Belkin. On the other hand, I didn't want something clever like a case that looks like an old book. So after reading the reviews and swallowing hard, I plunked down $45 for the case, half of what I paid for a mint HDX (the person did a poor job listing it).I was a little dubious as reviews seemed to be 50-50.I am quite happy with it. The magnets held the HDX right in place and it is great in both horizontal and vertical modes. If I were to have a complaint, and it is picayune, is it doesn't stand well on the glass dining room table. But putting a paper towel under it fixes the problem. The front cover panel itself sticks well, also with magnets. At first you think it is flimsy, but it is quite strong. The origami is clever and once you "get it" (read the insert that says "read first"), you are fine. I am pretty careful with my HDX, though I fling it onto my bed. No problems. I am sure one of these days I will drop it and I am sure it will be fine.You are in for $40 no matter what you do if you get an HDX. I think this product is either up your alley or not at all. No in between. Though I don't know if it is a production error or what, but the people who say the Kindle pops out baffle me. You have to have to strength of Samson to pull it out once it is in.I like mine. Do I recommend it? Well, there aren't too many options out there. This case seems like it will last for quite a while. No annoying snapping plastic tabs into one another or gingerly trying to snap flanges into device creases worrying about damaging the finish. The case was out of the packaging and on my HDX within 5 seconds -- no exaggeration. In that regard, the human factors get an A+. The origami fold is such a clever concept and creates some really nice line features on the cover. It takes some practice to commit the correct folding direction though. When you get it, you get it for good, though. The smooth, velvety inner materials ensure the screen and casing are well-protected. Good job on this one, Amazon! Worth the cost of two lattes over the other third-party cases, in my opinion. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars A very clever design for the Kindle Fire HDX case *by L***. on Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2013* This excellent case is made to be used with the new Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7" tablet. The front cover when folded becomes a stand which props up the Kindle in either the "portrait" or in the "landscape" position. The name "Origami Case" comes from the clever way the front cover bends when it forms the stand or the prop for the case. The case appears to be magnetic and when you lay your Kindle down into the back cover it is then held in place by the magnets. The Kindle is easy to remove from the case by grapping on to the edges of the Kindle and pulling it away from the back cover. My only complaint through, is that the stand portion of the case will only allow you to prop up the Kindle at one particular angle only. This angle is not always the most convenient angle at which to view your Kindle. This can be rectified however, by placing something such as a book or other item underneath the stand portion of the case until you obtain the angle that is most comfortable for viewing the screen.The new Kindle Fire HDX is a great tablet and I think that Amazon as created a real winner here in the tablet market.
