Preventive Medicine: The Rational Male, Book 2

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure"
"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure""The Rational Male - Preventive Medicine" is the second volume in The Rational Male series by Rollo Tomassi. The series is centered around understanding and conveying the messages of "The Red Pill"/"Manosophere" movements/philosophies.If you dont know much about these movements/philosophies then I suggest you Google them first and start with the authors first book. This is a gross oversimplification but in essence their a self help movement trying to understand and navigate intergender reltionships/interactions and empower men in a world society that is largely focused on the opposite (disempowering men and empowering woman). "Taking The Red Pill" is basically becoming aware of the true nature of reality (in this case involving the relationships between the two genders) & changing ones behavior to better survive (and hopefully thrive) in said reality. The authors first book was more of a "why" book. This book on the other hand is meant to be a "how"/"heal book". In particular it hones in on the various stages woman & men go through and what their thinking and looking for at the moment in their life (in regard to romance). Very useful to know when considering a potential partner. Futhermore the author goes into self help advice in general to help men (and possible woman) maximize their potential while limiting potential life altering mistakes that many men/woman (especially those who are unaware of the red pill) make. Lastly the author includes a much needed glossary of the terms used in the movements/philosophies so that's a plus.Overall I feel the author delivered on his purpose. My only complaint is that this book is not really "beginner" friendly. So again check out volume one and do a bit of Googling if your new to the movements/philosophies.The book is best read in conjuction with other books. I would start with "The Game" & "Rules of The Game" (especially this one!) by Neil Strauss. Also check out "No More Mr Nice Guy", "Modern Romance" & "The Selfish Gene". These books all fit into the theme of self improvement and understanding and navigating interpersonal relationships.Good book and a potentially life changing one. 5/5.

Very clear, substantive, concise, accurate and simply amazing.
This is one of those books, which makes you just sit back and think to yourself "Wow, it's now so clear in my head and so correlated by my own experience and experiences of people around me. Why didn't I think of it myself ?" This is how powerful this book is. Step by step this book lays out the stages of man's life and correlating woman's life. Meticulously explaining every little detail of how and why things are the way they are for both sexes as well as how men could better prepare themselves to be on top of their game at every stage, which parts of their game takes priority and why and how to go about improving them. Through and through Rollo never leaves you hanging wondering why something is the way it is, like many other authors making shallow arguments and/or assertions. Rollo always leaves your cup of knowledge full and wanting more of this amazing and groundbreaking information. The only question you have at the end is "Wow, Why didn't I think about it before. It's all so clear now." Highly recommend this to any guy looking for a more clear understanding of how to be more effective with women at any stage of his or her life. This book not only has the answers, but the clarity to transfer this knowledge over to you. It is that powerful. Just give it a chance and it will do wonders for you.

Life 201: Advanced Concepts
After Reading the first book of The Rational Male series, I couldn't wait for a day to start this second one. If the first book is the milk, this second book is the meat.Preventive Medicine was more like Preventive Chemotherapy. As someone who is averse to drugs of any kind, I found a good chunk of this pill incredibly hard to swallow. The chapters on Hypergamy are particularly gag inducing.I'm being metaphorical, because to put it bluntly: Hypergamy as Rollo describes in such awful, disappointing detail is, unfortunately, quite accurate. What I found especially jarring is not the fact that all women are capable of it. It wasn't even the fact that hypergamy can drive a woman to sacrifice everyone and everything, even her own happiness, self-worth, and sanity, to achieve its ideals. It wasn't even the fact that hypergamy is the ever present feminine instinct perfected by eons of biochemical programming, intended for the sole purpose of bringing together the best pairs of human beings to procreate the next generation and propagate healthy members of the species with the highest biological and cultural survivability possible. Oh no. It wasn't even the realization that hypergamy leaves more casualties than it rewards because men, over the years, have lost their edge in a relatively quiet, peaceful, technologically advanced environment. The biggest jarring aspect of hypergamy is that in today's safe, peaceful, enabling society, hypergamy tends to reward only the most ruthless, amoral, cunning, and devious of men.Women today aren't hiding their sexual nature: to be associated with the best men. That is the game. There really is no incentive for a woman to settle with a good man who doesn't raise her body temperature or significantly elevate her social status. That is the game. And the house will guarantee that without the best biological, financial, and psychological cards in your hand, you will lose. Every time. And the best cards are looks, wealth, and game.Lofty ideals like truth, honour, love, kindness, courage, integrity are only valuable among men, and sought after by women only after a man satisfy her primary instinctive desire: A man fit for breeding.Do not be deceived by those who would insist that women can truly value a man for any stretch of time for more than his biological utility. The relationship between male and female has always been first and foremost, sexual. And it is hard for a good man to get laid.Of course, the author doesn't tell you what to do with all this. You have to figure that for yourself.Hate the game and shun womankind. But you can be sure that they will not shun you when society finds some use for you. A laughingstock. A scapegoat. A martyr. An unwilling facilitator of its ideals...Ignore the game and forget you ever knew what it meant to be informed. Return to going through the motions. Trust the system. It has your best interests at heart. So you've been told...There's a third option. Read the Rational Male: Preventive Medicine. Let it's content break your heart and take away your imagined security."For no man may find his way home, unless he admits he is truly lost, and must confront the horrors of the night."

Great book.
Rollo goes over much of this material on YouTube but it was still nice to have it structured in a book. From reading his books and watching his videos, I now know what to expect from women at various ages of their life. He emphasizes that this isn’t a one size fits all. For example, age 27 is when most women hit the epiphany phase. That’s when they realize that their clock is ticking to find a suitable mate. But some women may still take longer to reach that stage. Any ways, great book. I’m looking forward to reading the others,

True.
"Reading one excellent book and absorbing ourselves in it has a relaxing and uplifting effect as we discover hidden riches within it. In the moments when we are not reading, we think of the book again and again"; Robert Greene. That's what this book is about.

Eyeopener books for today's male
A must for every male. It's an eyeopener and many if us will see how it exactly fits to us. How men are manipulated from childhood to become female-man and loose and sacrifice themselves only to repent in later part of life
