IR260 POU - 220v/30A/6kW - Infrared Electric Tankless Water Heater - None Corrosion - Extends The Life of Tankless Water Heaters

This is my the second unit I have installed at home. Both are working perfectly. I still cant figure out the correct hoses to use. The hoses I used fit the heater but the other other would only work on 1/2" PVC with no Teflon tape! Not worried, no leaks, and water is hot. This unit did not come with the flow control valve that the other had. New model? Again, it works. Happy customer!

The Sio Green IR 260 tankless water heater I purchased was installed in early 2020, and stopped heating water after a few months. I ended up having to purchase another electric tankless water heater and paid a plumber another $500 to install. I have a water softener so mineral deposits did not cause the unit to break down. I would not recommend this product.

Works Great, Takes a bit of tuning to get the heat just right. But all is good ,Thanks JR

I live in Hawaii and installed this heater 1 month ago. I was previously using Stiebel Eltron heaters, but they inevitably fail after a couple of years because the water in Hawaii is very hard. So I'm hoping the Siogreen heater can be the solution to my hard water problems. The heater is working well so far in my 1-bedroom / 1-bathroom condo. Showers are plenty hot. I just purchased a second heater for another property.I am not a plumber or an electrician, just a diy guy who has installed electric water heaters about a dozen times over the years in my properties. So I know my way around these things a little bit, yet I found the instructions sparse. I needed to contact customer support for clarification / help. I chose not to install the gate valve, as there are other ways to control flow and temperature - either at the faucet or on the heater. So for me, the gate valve was unnecessary, as I want maximum hot water flow. So far, I'm a very happy customer. Time will tell if this technology solves my hard water problems. I'm hopeful.Update: After 2 months of use, my IR-260 failed. It is only heating water to 30* Celsius (luke-warm), but there is no error message. I contacted Siogreen support and they informed me that because I am using the heater regularly for showers, I likely burned out a fuse, and I should have purchased the more powerful IR-288. This contradicts the information on Siogreen's own website, which I used to choose my heater size and which says that the IR-260 is suitable for one low-flow shower, which is what I have. Siogreen support then directed me to their resellers for an IR-288. The problem is that their resellers don't have any IR-288 heaters in stock and Siogreen refuses to sell me one directly, even though I've offered to pay full price. My hope that this heater would be a solution to my hard water problems has turned to frustration and disappointment. The heater failed and the company has not helped me obtain the stronger model they are now recommending.Update 2: It is now February 2021 and more than a year since I switched to the larger system, the IR-288. Siogreen eventually did sell me two refurbished IR-288s directly and they are working very well. I'm changing my review from 1 star to 3 stars. Anyone considering the IR-260 should think seriously about getting the IR-288 instead. I was extremely disappointed with my IR-260s, but I'm extremely happy with the IR-288s.

Utilicé este artefacto en un "pequeña casa" 1 ducha, 1 lavamano y un fregador. Obvio los tres no se usan al mismo tiempo. Instalado Marzo 2019 dejo de funcionar Junio 2020. Para que validen la garantía debe ser instalado por un contratista o plomero certificado y debe mandar foto de la instalación dentro de 30 días de fecha de compra. Se supone que si hay una falla el calentador este debe mostrar un código de error, no lo hace. Servicio al cliente le da explicaciones de pruebas para comprobar que puede estar mal, pero una prueba a a vez y con videos de cómo hace la prueba. Muy mala experiencia.

This unit should make obsolete all existing on demand electric water heaters. Its technology is a step ahead of the old heating element types and is not affected by rust, scale, or buildup that would negatively hinder its operation. I have bought a total of 4 units and they are top of the line units. I am super impressed!

I couldn't get it to stop dripping/leaking from the fittings. I really like the features and value of this unit but you can't have a leaky water heater. I'm considering getting another one and trying it, hopefully I just got a "bad one of the batch". I'll rerate it if I get another one.

Flow rate is for single use sink or so not enough to take a bath ect
