I have a 14 year old Golden Retriever mix and slippery smooth floors. Not a good combination. My Murray's legs were constantly slipping out from under him as he could gain no traction. There was also nothing for him to grip to get back up again. I started lining the floors with these mats and they work beautifully. Granted this is for practical purposes and not for looks although on the darker hardwood floors they don't stand out too much. I know they will have many alternate uses in the future. For now, they are the perfect solution to Murray's traction problem. As an added bonus, if there are spills or accidents I simply drag them outside and hose them off.
