This ring light deserves FIVE STARS. It does everything it say it does. It has adjustable brightness, and adjustable color temperature. Exactly what I needed. Gonna rave one more time, this is an awesome electric light, and if you purchase the optional batteries, you can take it anywhere in the carrying case also included. The included tripod is also plus. Now, for the ONE CON I've run into ..... there is a KNOB at the bottom of the unit that allows the unit to be tilted down or up. This KNOB, however, does NOT seem to be able to support the weight of the light no matter how much it is tightened. If you set the light vertically straight up, then it's fine; but if you tilt it, it will not stay in place. Perhaps it was just my unit. I'm keeping it anyway, and I'll figure out a way around this minor issue.

The media could not be loaded.  I have wanted a 18' ring light for a couple of years now. But never took the plunge into buying it. I finally said enough is enough and splurged.This 18' ring light is the real deal. It comes in a travel case to keep it safe from dirt or breaking. It also has it's own tripod which is heavy duty. and can be extended to whatever height you need. What sold me on this ring light is the wireless remote and also how this ring light can be bent in any direction you need it to go. Once this ring light arrived i immediately took it out of the box and set it up. Inside was the following the tripod, ring light, wireless remote, charger to plug into the wall and also a phone mount and a instruction packet. This ring light is so worth every penny. It has two light settings you can go from a soft yellow light to a bright white light. also can change it to how bright you want it. If you choose to use the wireless remote you will need 2 AAA batteries. Now if you want to use this ring light out and about you will need to buy two 7.4V Li-on batteries of the NP-F series. I plan on doing this to be able to use this on the go.

So, this was my first gander in to using a ring light, as I figured it would help some of my up-close photography (instead of using a flash). And boy does it make things easier! This Geekoto ring light actually has a very small ballhead so you can mount my camera right to the ring light itself (if you are taking a picture of something directly in front of it and don't want to use a tripod). You can find a picture of this setup in my attached pictures. The ability to change the color temperature definitely helps. Most of the time I want a warm light for my pictures, but occasionally I will want a cooler light, for a more blue tint - and this Geekoto ring light gives me that option - and wirelessly! Both the control panel and remote control have a green backlight when it use, which is great for using it in dark conditions. As you can see in the pictures, it even allows for you to attach your smartphone to the ringlight, if you don't want to use a big camera. Another great feature is that you can pack up the ring light and accessories in a handy carrying case that it comes with...or just easily pack it away for the day.Overall, this Geekoto ring light is a great investment for anyone who does a lot of macro and portrait photography. Absolutely amazing product, just as I expected!As a photographer I need to use a lot of gear in order to get a good results. I already have a softbox lighting and a tripod from the same brand . And when I started to look after a good ring light-there was absolutely no question what brand I’m gonna look for.This Ring Light came very well packed, with absolutely no damage during transporting.It comes with very durable travel case and perfect tripod that you can adjust to any height that needed. It’s also comes with a remote control (two AAA batteries you will need to buy separate).Very easy to set up including the phone mount which is absolutely necessary for vlogging. The ring itself tilts, so it’s easy to set up any angle for the best results.And the most important thing is that the brightness and the temperature of outcoming light is adjustable too(and you can do it with the remote control!). It makes my life easier in post processing of my pictures.The last but not the least point is that if you will buy two 7.4 v batteries-you can use this ring light for outdoor shooting!!! How cool is that?!In conclusion: this product worth every penny, and you can just stop looking for another one!

I'm a photographer and every Tuesday we meet in different places, we called a photo-meet group. about month ago I sow a guy with one of these ring lights, i was very impress on how easy and powerful the light is. i did a little research and find it, I ordered, i got it a few days ago, try it with some models, lots of people were asking me what was the product name , so they were as impress as i was. man these ring light rocks it's so freaking awesome, people looking for something like this, highly recommended to anybody. very happy with my investment. thank you geekoto. awesome product. these are some images i shot with the ring-light on the subject.

I already have a ring light, so I can very well compare what I love about this ringlight in comparison is that the LEDs can change seamlessly from white to a warm color by the press of a button and a turn of a knob. One thing in particular about this product that I LOVE is the remote. Everything and I mean EVERYTHING can be controlled from the remote, from turning the light off and on, dim and brightness, also the cool to warm lighting temperature. It also comes with a tripod stand as well as even an attachment for a cell phone not overlooking the many mobile phone photographers out there! The frequency may also be set on both the remote and the light itself for those who might own two or more of these lights for portraiture, product, or food photography, so you do not have to even move from your place!I hope you find this review helpful!Chris
