Nice little packet as a trial
This is a great little packet of spices for anyone delving into Mediterranean cooking for the first time. My stepdaughter returned from a semester abroad & wanted to experiment with tagine cooking after spending a day in Morocco. Sure, you can buy the spices individually, but for someone like my stepdaughter, who has limited space/time/resources to cook, she doesn't have to spend money on all of the individual spices, then find out that she doesn't want half of them. The packets are enough to experiment with a couple of dishes before going out & buying them individually. And what drives the price up, I believe, are the Grains of Paradise; on their own, they are more expensive per ounce than any of the other spices included.

Lamb and Salmon Never Tasted so Good!
I used these spices solely for seasoning meat and used them all up in the process, but WOW was it ever worth it! There is a recipe for a simple glaze which was incredible. It called for a lemon and all I had in the house was a tangerine. I used the juice and zest with honey. The crowd went wild. Best BBQ ever!

Don't spice up this way!
This product is WAY over priced!! The spices are good but, they are pretty much ordinary, common spices found in the average kitchen. There may be one spice that you MIGHT have to look for at the store but, the rest you probably already have. I was surprisingly disappointed when I opened this special Moroccan Tagine spice kit. The package itself probably costs more than the spices. You'd be better off finding a recipe for what you want and just using what you already have. Sorry, can't recommend this product.

Back for more
A repeat/refill of an earlier order, a good combination of spices and flavors for various meats or even vegetarian dishes. Certainly beats buying jars off the grocery shelf... these seem fresher and stronger.
