Decent, but wouldn't use as my only toothpaste.
I like this toothpaste LOTS, but have withheld one star because it doesn't give that "fresh from the dentist" feeling. I don't mean that the paste feels gritty, but that it doesn't feel as though my teeth are 100% smooth.I've tested this for the whole primacy and recency thing by using this first and a non-charcoal afterwards, and then using the non- one first and this second, and the other one by itself (Arm&Hammer, btw) and this one by itself.I've withheld a second star because I've not noticed one whit of whitening at all--not that mine were all that yellowish to begin with. But there is room for improvement (as in many things on earth). Maybe this is because the tube has a relatively small amount in it (aka not enough to notice a difference), but I'm somewhat impoverished at the moment, and therefore not buying a whole other tube just to see if the reason it didn't whiten was because this tube was too small.All in all, would not buy again, but would not avoid like the plague if they had it at a hotel or somewhere that I didn't have to spend a dime on.

Refreshing!
I quite like the toothpaste, my son loves brushing with black toothpaste and foam (novelty!) Leaves your mouth feeling clean and refreshed, as far as whitening notice a difference, as far as non chemical methods go.Wish it was a bigger tube for the price.

Toothpaste is great I only have used it once . I am getting on track so,I hope to use it more often

Still undergoing my trial, but I like it.
Tastes pretty good, and isn't too black to rinse out. It's too soon to tell if it will whiten my teeth, but I sure hope so. I'll change my review to keep you up to date when I see the effects.
