The 18-55 mm kit lens that i have is af-s instead of af-p, i guess is the reason it is not working on my d3300. am i right?

It will not work on an auto focus/auto exposure lens of any type. You need something like this: Mcoplus Extnp Auto Focus Macro Extension Tube Set.

Its suitable for nikon d7500?

Yes it works with Nikon D7500, but it also depends on the lens you use, your lens filter thread has to be the size of 55mm.

Does it work on Nikon d3400?

It works on any F mount. If you want macro on your 18-55 kit lens though,I'd suggest spending a bit more (around $40) and getting auto focus macro extension tubes such as the Mcoplus Extnp Auto Focus Macro Extension Tube Set. I have this one and it is perfect for macro work and will allow for auto focus and exposure. The focusing rings will not, and, on you kit lens, may not work at all since they are not manual lenses.
