Simple, cheap and reliable

These Fender Strap blocks/locks work just fine with my Hallmark solid body guitar and P. Pirri’s Leather guitar strap. The material takes a bit of “working out/breaking-in” in order to get it to flex around the strap buttons, but once I do, the strap blocks remain firm and stable, and help keep my strap secured to my guitar. Perhaps there are much better, albeit more expensive alternatives available, but for my needs and budget, these perform well and do what they’re designed to do. Overall I’m very satisfied with this item. If you are searching for simple strap lock (strap block) mechanisms, but are not wanting to spend a lot of money, go ahead and get yourself some of these, you won’t regret it!

To reiterate the headline: "Simply a better option than futzing with new screws/posts for Schaller-style locks etc" On almost every guitar where I've installed hardware-type Schaller-style "strap-lok" systems, there's just something about unscrewing & re-screwing the strap-anchoring screws (or replacing them with the ones provided with the new hardware), those screws seem to eventually develop problems & start to wiggle & work their way to a point where they can slip out & drop your axe HARD. These rubber washers make it nearly impossible for your strap to slip off the original strap posts, even when, as I often do, you wear the guitar across your back, neck-down, like a bow-&-arrow would ride, or something. No mod necessary, rock-solid-secure...the only thing I like better is the D'Addario nylon straps with straight grommets for the strap screws, & mountaineer-style quick-release clips "upstream" from the posts. Very rare to see this kind of value (& peace of mind) costing THIS little; take advantage. ;) (Note: I'm buying these even tho I know I have at least two pair somewhere in my "guitar accessories" bin...cuz, like RAM & disck-space...there is no "enough" lol)

These are fine locks, but what the heck am I going to do with the red ones? I have a candy apple strat and a midnight wine-colored strat and I wouldn't use the red locks on either. I suppose it might not matter to some people, but I don't think it looks good. Even a darker red would be less obvious. Oh, well. Maybe I'll give them to a friend with a red Glarry.

Awesome! I was really excited to get these for both my son's and boyfriend's basses. My boyfriend is a daily player and I've gone through buying him two straps in the last year and a half because they kept falling off the bottom strap nut on his bass, I thought because the metal was too sharp. My son is 3 and has a mini Fender and it's still too heavy for him, so we just got him his first strap, and I saw this product and thought for the price and the fact I get two sets I would try this out for strap security for the boys. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how perfect they fit and how snug they were (you gotta use both thumbs to push it over the metal, but they are supposed to be snug to be secure) so I'd say this is definitely worth the rating. These are going to save my boyfriend's favorite Starman strap I bought him, and now I know my son won't have any issues with his straps getting worn out either! Thanks for such a great product, I will be suggesting these to my dad who is also a guitar player, and anyone else I know that plays on a regular basis. excellent product.

Much easier than dealing with other methods if you plan to keep the strap on one guitar and not change between them. I fitted them to a vintage tele with the original style strap (replacement): no problem. It took me a little longer to get them on a Custom Shop Strat with thicker leather but I succeeded and everything feels very secure.

I put strap locks on ALL of my guitars, but I got a new guitar that was a bit of a collector piece. I didn't want to drill out the hole to put a hardware strap lock on it. This little rubber washer is a perfect solution! It holds a normal strap on without modifying the guitar at all! It took a little wrestling to get it on and seated correctly, but once on, it's very solid. Well worth the little bit of money it costs.

Jam one of these guys under your volume pot to stop accidentally turning it whilst playing. You can still turn it but with slightly more force required.

Consistency used to be different. Bought a set recently and they were way too stiff ( I’m Still using them.) Just a matter of time till these are Lost and I need more tho..
