2013 album from the Electronic metallers. Recorded at Planet Red Studios in Richmond, Virginia with producer Andreas Magnusson, the album features the band's trademark electronics expertly blended with crushing Metal riffs. With their sound now more refined since tours with the likes of Chimaira, Soilwork, Blessthefall, We Came As Romans and Eskimo Callboy, the album follows on from their debut album, Burn This World, perfectly, and will further enhance their reputation as one of the most unique bands around.

Awesome album, won't disappoint!
This album is amazing. Almost as good as their first. Sound production is much more clear. Guitars and drums sound so much more tight and like a machine! Vocals are clear and stand out well too.I just recently started listening to The Browning on spotify. But I realized their first 2 albums weren't available on any streaming services. So I did a lil research and found that their original label owns the rights to those albums and the only way to get them is through physical copies. I still buy cd's so I had no problem buying them and because I needed more Browning! Both albums shipped from the UK and had them in 2 weeks and they sound amazing. These first 2 albums have a higher intensity level than the newest 2. Fast, choppy picking and double bass mixed with blast beats and deathcore style breakdowns.

Closing the Gap of mashing electronic music with the tried and true death metal scene!
If you have just come around to realizing this band is on top of its game when it comes to producing this new revolutionary metal subculture of electronic metal mash up, just check out their previous release, Burn This World. Where some bands try to figure out how to become more extreme, more inventive in a predictable way, this band doesn't see the need to. They know what they are out to give to the world and they perfect it slowly song by song. The lead singer has a good grip of how the flow of the guttural vocals and actually give you a glimpse of how good it can be to dance In the most pit in waves of energy. This Band is a must to have if you like death metal, if you like techno, if you wanna MOVE! Lyrics are interesting and not the same ole same ole. Major props to this band and the ones who hope to best them. Worthy Metal!

Doesn't top debut but still great
I expected just a little bit more of something but I'm not sure what. Don't get me wrong, I still really enjoy it and I think anyone who likes their first album will still enjoy this one. The electronics are perfectly meshed with the high-intensity metal guitars and drums and I think the only reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of how great their first album was. Hypernova is just as good in many ways but its their sophomore album and they didn't exceed their debut. I hate to be a harsh critic on such a good band but I know they have tons of potential. Either way, buy it if you like their debut and you won't be disappointed. It's a good alternative for when you burn out their debut anyway.

Metal + Techno Done Right
The Browning is 'electronicore' - heavy metal mixed with lots of electronic/techno music. They're not the first to feature this combination, but they're by far the best I can remember at mixing the two in a way that totally, 100% works. I've heard other albums that are mostly metal with just a little keyboard backing, and some with techno parts and metal parts that never really merge. The Browning have the combination down perfectly - there's no mistaking the electro/dubstep elements, but they work incredibly well alongside chugging metal riffs and screaming vocals, and everything sounds like it belongs there and adds something to the tracks. Certainly different, and maybe not for purists. But it may be THE best album out there for anyone interested in the metal-electro combination.

A hybrid metalcore/techno experiment gone perfect
This is the only band I have in my music collection that creates this variety of music. It stands out among tons of metalcore bands with similar instrumental aspects with its appropriately timed electronic samples that overlap the guitars, drums, and vocals and occasionally are a solo piece in many songs. There are transitions all throughout the album never conveying a dull moment. It's pretty much like Zedd collaborated with a metalcore band.

Unique Sounds and Great lyrics!
I absolutely love this album! It has great songs and is definitely a very original genre of metal. Everyone I show this album to had loved it and always asks who the artist is. The songs have great lyrics that are very thoughtful which honestly is very surprising because of the bands name. However strange the name is the music is great!

Jonny McBee and Co bring the heavy with album 2
I really do like this album, it sound wise, well it's Electronic and Deathcore, but for a Deathcore band it adds that little extra something with the electronics, a nice change to the large amounts of Heavy riffage for a trance breakdown instead of a guitar breakdown, also the addition of some clean vocals are nice, instead of it purely being Death metal/Deathcore vocals. All in all it's a good album, recommended to those who want something a little different, to those who loved/liked the previous album, to those who enjoy electronics (and not just samples) with their metal. To those who don't like any of the above this may not be for you but have a listen anyway, it might just surprise you

The only thing that hurt about this CD was the fact I have no CD player
I went to one of The Browning's gigs last year. I hit someone in the face accidentally in a mosh pit which damaged my wrist quite bad. 10/10 recommend CD as a safer option.

Super album!
A step up from 'Burn This World', productionwise that is. Songwise not many changes but they manage to bring in some new elements that work very well. If you buy this one, buy the first one too! DO IT!
