Not Too Bad For the Price
This is a decent tuner for the cost. It does seem to "read" a bit slow, as noted by other reviewers. But patience does pay off in in that regard. I have found that at center tuning (when it should be on pitch) the actual pitch of the string can vary by a few cents either side of zero, which can lead to slight dissonance between certain pitches. The indicator could be a little more accurate in the region around the center. To be fair, I have only used this tuner in chromatic mode. Your mileage may vary, depending on the mode you are using. My only real complaint about the tuner is that the battery cover vibrates and buzzes. I thought I had a loose tuning machine for a moment, but upon investigation I found that the tuner was causing the buzzing. More accurately, the battery cover on the tuner. I will try cutting a thin piece of foam to stick to the inside of cover and see if that solves the issue. The issues noted above were almost enough to dock a star, but given the price and convenience I decided to keep it at five stars. I am someone who has been using strobe tuners for years, so I suppose I have a slightly more discriminating ear.Pro's:Compact; Easy to use; Looks nice; Can be used in Chromatic mode: Convenient, just clip it on and tune up: Nice backlighting: Uses commonly available CR2032 battery.Cons:Seems a bit slow in reading some notes; Center tuning can be a bit tricky; Battery cover vibrates and buzzes (at least on my unit).Recommendations:This tuner is a good one to start with, given its price and ease of use. Just clip it on and you are good to go. It will work on virtually any stringed instrument. However, if you do a lot of studio type work, or are sensitive to pitch tuning, you may need to look at other, more pricey, alternatives.Be aware that this tuner's reference tone is set to A=440Hz. You can not fine tune the reference tone. Not counting this as a con, just stating for those who might need that function. Will I use this tuner? Yes. It is very handy.Would I buy another one of these? Maybe...as a gift for someone starting in stringed instruments.

It does what it's supposed to!
I got it today, took it out of the box and was like "oh no" because of how small it was (notice: it fits in the palm of my hand) I took that as a sign of low quality because it appears bigger in the photos...but I was wrong! The is a great tuner! I didn't read the item description fully, so I didn't know it had settings for; ukulele, Bass, violin, and a chromtic setting. That was a pleasant surprise!Item looks: 3.8I must admit it looks cheap, but isn't cheaply built. May just be the colour I got (red).Item build: 4.01)It is made of hard plastic2)The clamp spring feels strong and holds well3)The kneck of the pivoting head is held in place with nut and bold the head of the tuners is held together with screws. Very good!!Item Functions: 5.O1)Pivoting and oscillating head: sort-a-like a household fan2)Guitar, ukele, Bass, violin, chromtic settingsSimple one button operation. No need to read user manual it's just that simple.3)Rubber clamp ends to protect instrument.

Great little tuner
Great little tuner! It is stable, easy to read and turns green when string is in tune (which means you need not strain your eyes to see the little needle). The needle movement is dampened which makes it easier to tune very precisely, if you really, really must. As previously stated, the in-tune green light is the real winning feature here. The light makes tuning quick, easy and accurate. I like this much better than the other clip-ons' I've tested. Long term? Who knows, but so far, so good. (I noticed that some of the other makes have problems with string harmonics -odd string resonances- which means that the indicator never quite settles down to give you a solid reading.) It clips on, hangs on and works "right now," too. The on/off switch is nice and large and is easy to feel/find in low lighting. I have been playing for many years. This thing is a sweetie!Haven't used it a lot yet, but I liked it from the first use. I have not tried doing intonations with it. But, I have another make that can be used for that, if necessary...and it may not be necessary.

Great little Tuner and Customer Service!
My wife gave me this for Christmas for my new mandolin. The tuner works great and we were all surprised how small it was. I received several comments from my siblings who play musical instruments. They loved how small it was and the chromatic setting. The only downside was the plastic part on the clip broke the first time I took it off my mandolin. I had to wrap electrical tape around the hinge so I could keep using it. I notified the seller and was instantly refunded my money so I could purchase a new one, and wasn't even required to send the other one back, which is still usable. Now I have 2! Awesome. So far I have only used it on the chromatic setting on my guitar, ukulele, and mandolin. I tested it to an A tuning fork and it was dead on accurate. If you leave it on while playing, it shows the chord note that you strummed or picked. It will light up green when the note is hit, which helps to visually see quickly while tuning. Overall we really like it and I have recommended it to my family and friends.

Clip-on guitar tuner
Up to now, I have been using a plug in tuner which meant that, if I wanted to retune my guitar in mid session, I would have to unplug from my amplifier and plug in to the tuner and them reverse the process after tuning. With this small gadget, I can leave it clipped to my headstock and tune as I go, much more convenient. I have now bought two of these tuners, one for my acoustic and the other on my Strat. Very peased indeed and no hesitation in recommending..Later... I have just bought my third of these tuners - brilliant!!

Caveat de Emptor. Buyer Beware.
I have noted a problem with this tuner. The Battery terminals do not always conect. I have had to remove the battery on a number of occasions to move the contacts so they touch the battery. I have also noted that even though the tuner is turned off it drains the battery. This is the 2nd one of these I have purchased and both suffer from the same problems. Useless item!

Alright for the price
This tuner is small and (mostly) mighty. I love the bold and clear display. I like the fact you can swivel to see in any direction. But it’s a bit faffy if you’re a novice like myself 😂Because the tuner is so small, it doesn’t pick up strings very well. So I have to position it dead straight. And the battery doesn’t sit in the back like it should. So I have to keep repositioning it to put the back on
