Very quiet. Power and function is great and the power button is easy to use. The cap is secure when the grinder isn't being used. We kept the cap on and turned the grinder on so our pup could get use to the sound and vibration, touching it to her paws. It definitely helped pup get comfortable and grinder smooths nails very nicely.

It’s very quiet and easy to use but not powerful enough for dog nails. I have a chihuahua and a Maltese, not big dogs, and I can’t use this on them. Works well for sugar gliders though.

My mother neighbor seen how great my dogs nails looked. She asked where I went to get her nails done. I explained I used a nail grinder at home. I didnt want to pay for a grooming visit ever again. She said she would have to look for one. She did buy one but it is not doing the same as mine is for my dog. I decided to go on the search for the one I got for us. It is not available at this time so I found one just like it for her. This works 100% better than the one she bought at the big box store. She is so happy her little dog has nice smooth nails that do not dig into her skin and leave marks, tears or worse in her skin. It's really easy to use. The instructions are easy to fallow. Unlike some others out there. What I like the most is that it is not battery operated. It used a charging cable, so the power never really fluctuates unless you do it and no constant replacement of batteries. It comes with 2 diamond grinding wheels, so it can be used more than once. Her dog doesnt even seem to care its having her nails trimmed.Comes with device, usb cord, 2 grinding wheels and instructions

Great product for small critters. It is useless for our yellow lab. I'm using it on my own finger nails but if you are a beta male, soyboi, idiot, flake, fool, or any other type of soft skinned easily offended overly sensitive person, don't use it on yourself,, you have been warned.

This is NOT at all quiet as the description suggests. It also takes forever to grind my larger dogs nails. I take the guard completely off and use the wheel bare, and have tried all angles and it just doesn’t work. I got it hoping it’d be a better alternative for clipping my anxious and squirmy dogs nails but it ended up being more work because of the time i have to hold it against each nail, and it’s very loud which scared him right off the bat.

I have an large adult dog with black nails. It was extremely difficult to trim his nails short without clipping the quick and causing him pain. After one of his long nails was broken off at the insertion site, I purchased this to help keep his nails short. It is quiet, just a slight hum. The sound of the nail grinding is a little louder but not obnoxious. It does take a long time to grind down larger dog nails. I now clip the long tips off then grind the remaining nail. My dog’s nails finally don’t click on the hardwoods!It came fully charged and I was able to do my adult dog, my puppy and even my daughter’s gerbil?!? The gerbil’s nails were long, sharp and getting caught in her exercise ball. Trying to safely trim the gerbil’s nails was impossible. The gerbil would wiggle and pull away from the clippers. Using the low speed and the mid sized opening, I was able to grind down the nails on each foot at once! Gerbil sat still the whole time......

Missing grinding wheel (advertised as 2 included). The package arrived as sealed ,not sure if the quality control at the factory is inadequate. Depending on the response from the seller , will decide whether to return the kit.Follow up....This product is amazing...I used it on my 19 year Lhasa Apso with no difficulty. It's quite , grinds the nails down efficiently with no discomfort to my skittish dog. Highly recommend this Pet nail grinder.
