Lolumina Mini Soft-Release Button-Complete Kit (Red)

Thought I would try one of these out after this was recommended to me by someone. I looked up the different sizes and picked up the 10mm for my Sony A6300. It comes packaged well with the button, two attachment points with adhesive and o-rings, an extra o-ring, instructions for installation and removal, and an alcohol swab.I appreciate that this comes with not only an attachment plate for flat and concave shutter buttons but an extra o-ring as well. The button is very nice and seems to be of a nice quality from what I can tell. The installation was simple. Wipe down the shutter button with the provided swab, wait 10 minutes for the shutter button to dry, apply the correct attachment plate and hold it to the button, wait for the adhesive to cure over the next few days, and so on. It went on easy and was fairly simple to line up. The only issue I had was that my shutter button rotates freely and so screwing something onto something that rotates freely can be a bit of a challenge but in the end it was not terribly hard to press the button and screw the soft release on tight.It fits perfectly on the A6300 and adds a nice contrast to the camera in general. The button has a 10mm diamter and raises off of the shutter button 4mm. This may be an issue for some because while it is only raised 4mm, that is enough to get bumped inadvertently or caught on things so be conscious of this fact when you buy it. For myself, it doesn't get pressed in my camera bag and taking an accidental photo every once in a while is not a big deal to me.Testing out the button I have to say so far I really like it. it does make it easier to press and with any part of your finger instead of just your finger tip. I used this both with back button focus and using the shutter button to focus and it works well with both. Off hand it will take more time with it to see if it really improves the speed and steadiness of my shots but it makes the shutter easier to press and it hasn't hurt my speed or steadiness so its only a plus so far.It's gonna come down to personal preference on whether or not you like using this button, but I can say for the price I paid(~$12), I like it and I think its worth a shot to try it out for yourself.

Great! Works well and looks stylish on my Lumix ZS100/TZ100. Definitely helps reduce the shake when taking a macro or tele shot, and now my shutter button is also easier to find without looking. Easy to mount, and doesn't come off easily. Highly recommended!

Didn’t even last a month... was very meticulous about tightening it everyday. Even with that kind of care it still came undone and lost the red button now. I’m just forced to buy a whole new complete set?The product itself was really useful when it wasn’t lost. It made triggering the shutter button easier and was a joy to use. I’m just upset because even if I took care of it, it still loosened itself. It has that design flaw. I think that the product should’ve just came in one piece so you didn’t have to screw in anything. What was the purpose of screwing something in anyway.

I truly wanted to like this product, but unfortunately I cannot recommend it. Despite following the instructions to a T, the top half of the mechanism came unscrewed and fell off my first outing. Total waste of money.

I installed this button following the directions step by step and it felt really good for the most part. I liked the feel of the larger button on my XT1. When I took my camera to Miami, The adhesive on the button did not stand up to the humid/hot condition over there and the button started sliding off. I would buy it again only because at this price point you get what you pay for. and I almost expected the adhesive to react that way in hot weather.

I used this on my Fuji XT-1 Silver Edition. Even though the shutter button isn't threaded on the XT-1, this soft release goes on extremely firmly just as if the button was threaded!I was skeptical that a side bump might make it lose, but the adhesive is very strong and after attaching it, you even forget it's glued because it's on there so firmly. At that point it just gets out of the way and significantly improves the shooting experience and looks of the camera system! The aluminum feels cool to the touch.There are also instructions to easily remove the soft release if you wanted by running dental floss in between the soft release and the shutter button. I didn't personally try this myself, but it feels good to have the option to remove it if needed.

Excellent product as described would buy again. Would highly recommend. Hard to center on shutter but with care it is possible. Be careful can not remove to try again to reposition correctly.
