Lion at the door

Heavy Iron
This is a large, heavy, piece for a door. The knocker isn't great and it looks horrible. I was hoping for a more integrated design. One where the knocker lays flat against the base. But there is a 1/2 inch of open space and the knocker hangs above the base. The knocker shifts back and forth and is held to the base by a flimsy pin that looks like it could break at any time. We ended up taking the knocker off the door and just using the lions head as a door medallion. I would not recommend this.

Lion door knocker is fierce
Wish the holes for the swinging outer decoration for knocking was farther in so it would not be sticking out so far from the lion head base, it makes it off balance and hangs out at an angle. It is very heavy and a decent size. Overall it is lovely and well made.

Beautiful but a lot bigger then expected
This thing is huge lol but it’s beautiful and arrived really quickly!

Pretty good, but
Pretty good, but... We were looking for a large knocker to put on the front door of our historic home, and this is the largest we could find. From a size and appearance standpoint, it's great. But the sound is more of a clank than clunk, and I really wanted the deep bass sound of a clunk. Also, the hinge pin holding the clanker to the anvil would be better if it were easily removable, as i wanted to add some spring washers in there to keep the clanker from swinging side to side so much. Also, be aware that this will clank quite loudly everytime you close your door.
