Gets more ice everywhere but the place you want them to go
These might work if you only need VERY small ice cubes and intent to dump the entire trays worth into a large mouth container, like a blender. But if you ever want to just take a few cubes, or even half a tray's worth of cubes out, you are going to have serious difficulty and expect the cubes directly around the ones your trying to remove to come out and fall everywhere. It's impossible to remove individual ice cube without bending the silicone tray at an angle that, due to how small the cubes are, doesn't automatically cause a bunch of of the cubes around your I rented targets to fall out all over the place. Forget trying to add ice to anything with less than a 6-8" opening, because the way you have to remove the ice causes half the tray to fall out all over the place because you have to bend the silicone backwards, like when you properly cut a mango then bend it to spread the pieces apart before separating from the skin. Only with a mango the pieces stay attached until you cut them off. It's literally impossible to remove individual cubes of ice because they are so small and don't just break away from the side of the tray when you twist it like ice does in the traditional hard platuc trays. The concept sounded good initially, but once I actually tried to use these trays at home, I quickly discovered they do nothing except make a mess and leave more ice melting all over the counter than in the glass they were intended to go in. I returned mine the next day.

Great to make mini ice cubes.
I think this is an excellent product. Before purchasing, I saw reviews saying it was difficult to get the ice cubes out of the trays. My solution was this:Instead of emptying the trays when I need them. I make the ice cubes ahead of time, and put them in a freezer bag.My process is as follows:I found a rather flat area in my freezer (of course -- on top of other items.) I layered of 2-3 paper towels, then a layer of freezer paper. On top of the paper towels and the freezer paper, I layer the three trays on top of each other. (They don't spill super easily because the water seems to be "attracted" to the silicone, so it doesn't just spill everywhere when I close the freezer door *very gently*.)When I see that they are frozen, I take each tray out one at a time, and get the mini cubes out as quickly as possible - it DOES take time and patience. I just use a large bowl to empty the cubes into because they don't just fall out easily. By bending the tray backwards at each row, the mini cubes pops out a little easier. Also, I keep my freezer bag of mini cubes in the freezer until I have all of the cubes out of each individual tray. I have found that if I leave my freezer bag of mini cubes out for any length of time, then they'll melt enough that then I just have a freezer bag full of melted ice instead of mini ice cubes. Basically, keep everything in the freezer - except when you are working that particular part of the process.Basically, if you do it ahead of time, and not at the moment that you need them, you won't feel like it takes forever.

Time consuming!
I like the little pieces of ice.....but you better be ready to work for them! The center comes out fairly easy by just rolling the form back and forth. By the time your getting the ice out of 3 containers your hands are freezing. I use a big bowl to dump the ice into then have to pour the cubes into the storage unit in the freezer.....just buy a bag of sonic ice!

A bit smelly, but I'm definitely gonna buy some more.
I just got my first apartment recently, and I've really been wanting crushed ice in my drinks. These are my first ice trays that I've ever bought, and I think they work great! I was nervous because of the COVID scare, and I wasn't really sure where these were being shipped for, but it did take about 3 weeks for them to get to me anyway, so they should be all good regardless. I also washed and sanitized them before using. They do have a particular smell, but it's not too bad. Washing didn't make it go away, just so y'all know, but I feel like it's starting too after using it. It's not yielding as much ice as I would like, even with the 3 trays full, but for this price, I'm not mad to buy more. Plus, it freezes pretty quickly, so... You know.As for the difficulty getting them out, in my experience, it isn't as hard as these reviews are making it seem. It takes a bit more patience, but the ice cubes come out really easily for me. I took the suggestion from one of these reviews and put the ice in a different receptical for storage in my freezer. I have to push some of them out, but I really haven't had any issues. It's kind of relaxing, tbh, seeing the ice cubes push out of the little tray hole. The cubes sometimes come out really clear too, which is pretty dope.

Good products, here's what I have to say:
So, I DO love these, however, they are...relatively difficult to take the ice out SOMETIMES, for me I turn this product upside down and squeeze them like a nasty pimple to get these ice chunks, my hands to get cold fast (naturally, im dealing with ice...)I have 6 in total now (they come in a pack of 3), when I empty the 3 into my ice container. It takes about 10 minutes to empty all 3 and refill water amd put in freezer...very minor inconveniences, I still use to this day, good rubber material, easy bending, I like and suggest this item.
