This book first touched me—very deeply—thirty years ago, and over the years I've since bought over a dozen to give to friends as a special gift. I'm surprised (and not surprised) it is continually in and out of print. It has become an essential companion in my life.

Somewhat esoteric, arcane little book that I heard of many decades ago and finally got.Know who is Fellini? Castaneda? Joseph Campbell? if yes, then by all means, this is for you.If you are interested in the path, this has much more substance than most new-agy disgusting and lame bland cookies.The author did not finish the book, he died. It is up to you to "complete" it.

Some will be disappointed in the ending, but I have always treasured the fact that the ending pulls the reader into the novel in a way that the reader cannot avoid. I also found the prologue of Daumal's collected notes to be essential for understanding the novel.

Road To Holy Mount Analogue is a book that has, unfortunately, dropped out of sight. But if you are a seeker and want a new way to appreciate the infinite in front of your eyes, you will marvel at this little gem.

I'm so happy I found this book! I'll definitely be checking out more Rene Daumal. The shipping was very fast and it was in perfect condition.

I had heard a lot about this book. But I found it a very average reading. There were short spells in the book that felt as though the author had gained momentum and made a lot of sense; but most of it was just about average. I think the book gained more popularity for the fact that the author passed away before he could complete the book and that lead to a lot of speculation on what the book ending would be like.
