It kind of works.
This meter works great for measuring moisture. I am not sure if it really works for PH or light. I have been using this only to measure moisture. I have tried, repeatedly to use it for measuring light and Ph but the needle does not move if it is switched to anything besides moisture. When it is switched to measure light, the needle doesn't move regardless of if I am in a dark closet or outside on a sunny day. When switched to ph, it also doesn't move. I have read several other reviews that say you need to give it time to work for the ph, but it can stay in the soil overnight and never move. Anyway, I don't hate this meter, it just only works for moisture and that is kind of all I needed it for. The other two measurements would be nice to have. I my have just got a dud, but I kept it and I use it a few times a week.

Nice tool for indoor plants
It's well made, seems accurate and the 3 settings are great! Originally I thought I'd use the meter strictly for moisture reading. It's nice to know the soil ph as well.

Accurate so far and easy to use
I live in Arizona now and really missed having a garden. The soil here is not great and I needed to figure out how to get it a good mix for plants to thrive. Using this soil meter, I was able to figure out where to plant my tropicals and adjust the mix and moisture levels before placing my plants. It seems to be pretty accurate and I feel more confident with my plants now that I know how to check on their environment.

Decent, good deal
Works, pretty accurate. The moisture reading is a lot more practical on this, not sure how well the pH reading performs. But good for the price.

Soil Tester...
The first one came with one rod bent. They were very efficient in sending a new one out to me very quickly. The new one seems to work very well, so far.

Fragile and bends
If you have a hard lawn/soil, the prongs will get bent. I used it once and I am concerned the next time I use it, the metal rods will break. Definitely not durable. I do not have a point of reference on accuracy as it is the only PH meter I have used so far. After this experience I decided to buy the more solid and sturdy cone shaped PH meters from Kelbey.
