Our kids found this engaging and fun, for some math can not contain much entertainment but the way this is setup even the most math adverse kids will be excited to dive deeper into multiplication and division. Great purchase!

This workbook is so well thought! Division is always such a hard concept for students. But these tasks and problems were excellent for not only practicing the multiplication and division but taking them even further! The potions tasks really challenged kids' thinking and gave them lots of practice. Tasks with writing missing numbers are fantastic to look through and figure out where mistakes can be made. It includes problem-solving tasks and challenging, leveled questions, and answer keys! Kids also loved the thought of searching words so that they didn't even realize they were doing math! Perfect for small groups and math centers, also awesome for independent practice or homework. Great for homeschooling, too.

Coming from a mom of 2 almost 9 year old twins - this book is a must for kids who love Harry Potter stories! The author (s) made math calculations come alive with both Harry Potter characters and fun Brainers. This not just a math book - the characters comment (via “bubbles”) on the math tasks, which definitely keep the kids interested 😉Every task has a reference to the Harry Potter story - I especially loved the fact that Hogwarts professors make an appearance in this book, so that the kids “got the taste” of a classroom experience of doing math at the magical school...A few words about the quality of the introduced math tasks - it is pretty unorthodox, so, if you are looking for “kicking it up a notch”, while homeschooling your kids or just giving additional “push” what we are doing at home) for their math studies, that’s the book for you! The math calculations tasks range from relatively easy one to much harder ones, and the magical characters just keep it interestingAlso, what was an unexpected bonus is the introduction of Brainers, several characters with different personalities- kids can identify with either one of them while working on their math assignments!Don’t forget to check out the website, mentioned in the end of each page; very interesting!

Purchased as a multiplication and division curriculum for a 10 yr old entering 5th grade that quickly masters math concepts.Overall, it's fun and makes perfect sense, seems very thorough in explaining the whys and math problems he does every day. It goes a little deeper than any math curriculum I've ever met. It teacher different strategies and tricks to calculate numbers in your head easily and my kid appreciates that a lot since he hates a lot of writing and repetition.The format is a little different and challenging but the detailed explanations are applied with the current level of knowledge. So, this method definitely works well for any average or struggling math learner. It took less than a week for my kid to get adapted to the format.He was used to the repetitive (slow) pace of the public school curriculum with their regular textbooks. Now he positively acquired a love for math! And he really smiles while doing the math problems or reading his favorite sayings.It has been an outstanding resource for him!

This is an awesome book that makes learning difficult math subjects so much fun! My son can't wait to start his summer school work! I recommend this book for any child either learning new math steps or students in need of some extra practice. They have other character books as well including minecraft
