This light bulb is really, really cool. It has an interesting color - a very yellow light - but the most interesting thing is the coiled filament. It is so cool looking. The light is a little dimmer than I expected, though it is only a 40-watt bulb, so don't think you are getting a spotlight. However, the appearance of the bulb, and ambience it provides are really, really neat. I'd love to see a bistro lit with these- but for now, I will just have to settle for one lamp in my home. I will definitely be getting more!

These bulbs look nice and are packaged well but they have a yellow light so keep that in mind.

I've been using this bulb in my bedroom, connected to a hanging light cord. I've had it for nearly 2 years, and it's still working, and looks amazing. I had no idea I'd use it as much as I have been, but it's a great warm light that's not too bright and is perfect for evenings or early mornings when you need some light but nothing drastic.

I bought 4 of these for my basement bathroom. It's a very small bathroom, so they provide plenty of light for whatever needs to be done in there. If it were a bigger room, these might not do the trick. Edisons are really more for ambiance than utility after all

The questions and answers for this product say that the bulb itself is totally clear but it's totally not. It has a yellowish tint and gives off a yellow light. I should've read more reviews first, I know it says that it gives off a "warm yellow" light but it also says "Glass cover Surface treatment: Transparent" which is a lie.
