Magrudergrind

Nicely insane grindcore, intense metal, whatever you want to call it. Magrudergrind takes it all up a notch into some sheer insanity at moments here.

Magrudergrind is grindcore/extreme hardcore band from DC. These guys have been around for several years, and their self-titled (s/t) is their sophomore full-length, which was released last year ('09). Magrudergrind has been hiding out in the underground for awhile, slowly climbing up, and Scott Hull (Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed) added them to his This Comp Kills Fascists and mastered their s/t later that year. Me being a fan of Scott's work, and hearing alot of great reviews of the album, I checked their myspace out. So I ended up purchasing their s/t that day. I was blown away, I've been listening to grind for awhile so I thought I heard everything. These guys really kick it old school, not like most modern grind which is death metal related or are very technical. Nope M.G. is up their with early Napalm Death, Capitalist Casualties, Enemy Soil, and Brutal Truth. I love everything about the album, the raspy and original vocals, the decent production which makes it sound so much more raw and heavy, the spazztic drumming, the never ending grinding n' shredding guitar, the awesome & obscure movie clips and politcal disputes, and of course the intense politcal, religious and life in general themed lyrics. I pretty much love all the songs, but the track which completely stands out is their ''longest'' track, Bridge Burners. Which is this three minute slowed down pulverizing song, I LOVE blasting Bridge Burners(though I love blasting the whole album in general). So if you love your grind and extreme hardcore, give Magrudergrind a listen too.

Puntuality

I woke up this morning and decided to purchase this cd. I have now come to realization that I made the correct choice. Magrudergrind=awesome band. Period. But don't worry when your grandfather asks you what you have hidden in your jacket. Be honest, tell him that you purchased the latest Magrudergrind. And when he asks you "Do they talk about Jesus on that cd?" you simply say "no Grandpappy." I give this album a clean and healthy 5 stars.

This band is freaking amazing.My old man knows the singer Avi really well.

Too much junk, not enough actual music. I'm not sure why bands feel the need to fill their albums up with such rubbish. Just record the music, and if you don't have enough music, wait til you do.

Bien precintado, vinilo en color blanco y verde (no lo ponía por ningún sitio pero un punto a su favor).Gran álbum grabado por Kurt Ballou (guitarrista de Converge), un tiro en la cabeza...brutal!!!Muy recomendable para los amantes de sonidos extremos.

CD worked fine but case arrived broken and cracked. Not the best as was meant to be a present.
