Although installing the plastic tabs was a little fiddly at first, the screen itself does a great job restricting the view angle on my laptop screen. Unlike other screens I've attempted to use in the past, this one keeps the screen looking clear to the main user, and turning up the brightness means the screen looks pretty much normal.

The product packaging arrived as expected, in a sealed cardboard sleeve. Upon opening it I was surprised to find the screen with filthy, scratched, and covered in splotches. I can only assume it is either used or whoever was behind packaging sneezed on it, dropped it, and used it as a makeshift sled on concrete before sealing it in the packaging sleeve. But, I figured it would be a big deal because it's just the film that covered the screen and will be peeled off anyway. As instructed I put peeled off the front sticker marked 1 and the film came off removing a good amount of the "used" look. I set it against my laptop and peeled off the sticker marked 2. As with the first, it began to peel the film but about an inch in it snapped. No biggy right? I just grabbed what was lifted and continued by hand. It was in peeling back another couple of inches that I noticed something strange, the film was really sticking hard to the screen, so much so that it began to split. I used my man strength and pushed on only for it to split almost entirely. I seeing no way to fix this I submitted my request for a refund. Either this layer was not intended to be removed or is glued so well on the rest of it, it never will be. Lastly, for those who are still considering this product or just want to know, both sides are a matt finish.

The privacy is good, however I had to use the adhesive strips because of the type of laptop screen that I have. The adhesive strips prevent me from using the touchscreen feature on the monitor that they stick to, while the other parts of the privacy screen don't seem to work that well with the touch screen. I am not a big touch screen person, so it doesn't really bother me, but those who are will find it annoying that it doesn't work so well.....especially when tapping. If your laptop allows you to increase the touchscreen's sensitivity then you may have a chance.

Overall, I like the product. There are air bubbles on the screen though.

bought it for my wife. she told me that her eyes are not irritating that much now

Definitely not a fan of the two options they give you for install, both are too noticeable for my preferences. In addition, the adhesive is so strong I am now afraid to try and pull it off because I suspect it might damage the LCD screen

I tried this out and as I discovered my wife was sitting next to me and she could see everything as it did not block side viewing at all. Just a waste of money.
