As well, does a hose need to be connected for water outlet/overflow?** A: Yes, the water hose must be connected for continuous waterflow. As for the outlet/overflow, there are no connections to attach to drain the water. To drain the water there is only a plug which you have to remove (outside) and allow gravity to do its work. The overflow device is a plastic bulb, which when elevated with the water level, suppose to stop the waterflow from the hose. I personally wouldn't depend on it, it overflowed on me twice. If you decide to purchase it, good luck. I can't even give mine away. **Q: will this work well inside a office where there's no windows?thx.** A: No, you need a window and it only works in dry climates. And be very sure before you buy. I ended up with a big $400 doorstop because there are no returns allowed with this big POS. **Q: Dose it have an Ice Compartment ?** A: Yes, it does have an ice compartment. A small one albeit. It is where you put in the water. **Q: how many watts does it use** A: I tried mine out with a Ryobi 300 watt power inverter. The 6 amp hr battery ran the unit for 53 minutes; 4 ah batt ran it for 45 min.
