I saw them a year ago and was extremely impressed with the way they auto-grab your phone. I am kind of sorry I am late to the party in buying one of these chargers, but here I finally am --- and I'm very excited to talk about my purchase.I just bought the new iPhone 11 Pro Max. I wanted to have my phone screen in view, in my car, for navigational or other purposes. I didn't want to use adhesives to stick my phone to the dash. An air vent charger seemed to be the best choice of mount.Of course, the big aspect of purchasing this charger was for its "auto grab" feature. I'll talk about that in a moment.You will have this charger up and running within minutes of unboxing. Be aware that while it does come with a USB charging cable, it does not include a cigarette lighter plug. You will need to provide that on your own.The choice of mounting consists of either using an included adhesive or clipping the charger to your air vent. I don't particularly like adhesives, so I went with the air vent clip. The clip is very, very strong with a button that easily enables you to open and close it as you attach it to one of your A/C vents. Unfortunately, the device takes up the entire air vent blocking any airflow. This will be the downside of using the clip.The attached rolling ball allows 360-degree movement so once clipped, you have wiggle room in placing it in the direction you want.Once your car engine starts, the charger emits light on its face to let you know it's powered on.Now here is the best part...Just place your phone on the charger and watch it gently grab and hug your phone. It's pretty darn cool! Once in place, it stays in place until you pull on the phone to release.I drove around for about an hour using the charger. The phone stayed in place. The charger seemed to be doing its job of supplying a constant current to the phone.I am just tickled by this charger and the way it just grabs my phone as I move it into the cradling area. I love this kind of gadgets and I am equally happy that this one seems to work for me.

I have an iphone 8 and I love using the wallet type casing. I've been searching for a wireless charging pad that does not require me taking off the charging case.I eventually found a wallet casing that is made of leather and I bought it separately. This wireless charging station came in well packaged. I mounted onto my air vent and it fit very well. The charging pad is larger than usual because it has 2 things that I totally wasn't expecting:1. It has a plastic "bump" behind the pad so that it can support the whole charging pad on your car's panel beneath the air vent. That being said, it fits perfectly on my 2019 corolla's center air vent, albeit it's kinda in the way of the hazard light button but it's manageable. You might want to plan ahead which air vent on your car would best fit2. It has a freaking auto-detect sensor that automatically opens the gripping arms when it sense you're about to put your phone on it. I suspect it's just a simple LED sensor as I can trigger the gripping arm opening/closing with my waiving hands. That being said, it's super convenient when I want to place my phone with my wallet casing. I simply need to flip the top of the wallet case open, and then rest my phone on it. It will grab onto my phone firmly and charge while I use Google Map.Charging power is pretty decent as I paired it with a fast charge USB plug that plugs into the cigarette lighter of my corolla.The only caveat is that, if you drive over a speed bump with high speed (which you shouldnt, but if you accidentally do), expect the possibility that the big bump might trigger the LED sensor which consequently releases the gripping arms. You'll phone will drop in the middle of driving!Overall it fits perfectly for my use case. I do wish there's a way to tune the sensitivity of the LED sensor to reduce the false-positives but other than that, this product is perfect for me!

This holder / charger is very convenient and nice initial quality. Easy to install and has a senaor that opens automatically when you hold the phone close. It charges as advertised. It has an adjustable bottom to adjust for different phone sizes. This unit will hold a charge for a minute after turning off engine so you may retrieve the phone even with the car off. My only concern is that if want to plug the phone while using the holder (apple play use) the bottom stopper interferes with the cable. Other than that it’s great. .

The mount holds the phone firm enough, and changes quite nicely. The highlight is the the holder can open automatically when you touch it.

i bought this mount thinking I'd be fussing with the clamp mechanism. but my wife got a new iphone with wireless charging and plugging the cord in for charging was getting old. i had no idea the clamping automatically senses the phone and opens up. wow. even the touch button to open is easy to use. vent attachment is super easy and strong. charging seems fast using a qc 3.0. highly recommended.btw the bottom stand can extend to put the charging area on the sweetspot. my iphone max with case fits no problem.

I love being able to just drop my Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus into a car holder that also wirelessly charges it! This device has a motion sensor that senses when you are placing your phone into the holder and it automatically, very smoothly and quietly opens the holder arms, then closes them again automatically to firmly grip your phone in the holder/charger. This feature is WAY COOL for the tech gadget junkies out there such as myself. I just got this device so I haven't gotten to use it very much but so far, I'm very impressed.
