Purchased for my 7 yr old granddaughter. The first one had a cracked lens. We sent it back and the second one was perfect. She loves it. Great scope for a beginner stargazer!

Do yourself a favor and buy your child or relative an Orion ST80, Starblast 4.5 or 8" Dobsonian. This is pure junk. It has antique eyepieces that can only be described as seeing through mud. You cant see anything through those things - both are dim. I checked with some modern glass on a 1.25" diagonal and the main objectives are ok. If you want something your kids will use please get at least an 80mm scope on a proper mount. This is pure junk. The positive reviews are fake. I have found better scopes in the trash - not kidding.

I bought this telescope for my four-year-old granddaughter for Christmas. She was so excited when she opened it since it was the number one thing she wanted for Christmas. When she and her dad took it outside to use it, it would not work. It would not focus at all. Her pure joy immediately turned to extreme disappointment. No four-year-old or grandmother should have to suffer this agony at Christmas. I gave it one star only because you do not have 0.

I, along with my five year old grandson were very disappointed with this telescope. We tried everything to see out of it. It was just poor quality even for a beginner to use. Waste of money.
