Great product but you are paying the cost of product innovation.
This is a very well designed product. The bottle fits snugly into the small of my back when used with Patagonia Pro Strider shorts. No question the most comfortable way to carry small amounts of water. Never had a problem with leaking. Wonder whether the reported problems might have been related to washing the bottle in the dishwasher. I could see how the heat of the water or dry cycle might deform the bottle just enough to cause a problem. I have only two complaints. First, the capacity of the bottle could be larger. I have run with a 20 oz Amphipod HydraForm Bottle tucked into the back of my shorts without a problem, but the Simple Hydration is a better design for that purpose. 13 oz just isn't enough for longer runs in warm weather. Second, the price is high for the quality of the bottle. If Simple Hydration was owned by Fuel Belt, Nathan or Amphipod this would be an under $10 product. You are paying a premium for product innovation and small scale entrepreneurship. As long as the founder, Brain Hock, isn't driving a Ferrari, I'm fine with that.

8 Years and Still Going Strong
I'm hoping they didn't stop making this bottle! I felt compelled to come back and write a review after my run today when I thought... How long have I had this thing? Then saw I'd bought it back in 2014 and this little guy is still in the regular rotation of my workout must-haves.Yes, it leaks, but no, it doesn't bother me when I'm running and sweating anyway. I own a hydration vest and plenty of other bottles and bags, but this is hands down my favorite for quick neighborhood runs because it fits behind a bra strap or tight waistband, and I LOATHE having to carry things in my hands while running if I don't have to.I also ended up using this bottle when I ran a marathon years back. I think it's perfect whenever you're going for a short distance or have plenty of options for refilling. Sure, I don't bring it with me on long hikes or distance runs. But in terms of filling a certain niche, it does that better than anything I've seen on the market.

It’s a leaker!
I was tired of carrying bottles and having bulky belts on so I bought this from a recommended article I think in Runners World. While I like the idea of the bottle, like many others it leaks! The it’s like the plastic top suddenly doesn’t screw on correctly. I found this out the hard way yesterday running in the cold and when I had finished and was heading home I noticed it spilled all over my low back. Kind of disappointing, because size and convenience was good, but it’s faulty.

... carrying - smaller size plus shape means I've been comfortable on long runs running and refilling this
Works okay for carrying - smaller size plus shape means I've been comfortable on long runs running and refilling this. I've tried tucking it in my waistband and it's either to heavy or my shorts aren't tight enough - it sloshes around a lot.The bad part is there's a slow leak - from the mouthpiece which you really need to slam to close, and from the rim. So when the bottle is full I get a slow leak. Once it's only half full then not much comes out while I'm running.Overall OK, I'll continue to use it, but I wouldn't buy this one again due to the leaking

Annoying edges
I like it, but it was annoying because it came with sharp edges at the molded sections. So my first run in these it ended up cutting me and causing some chafing. I had to take some sandpaper and smooth these down. After that this bottle worked perfectly. I'm able to go running without having to worry about carrying a handheld bottle. So I did feel like I could go faster being a bit more free. It did pop out though so checking on it every few minutes or at least once you start running after placing it in position would be smart. But once you get it in the right spot it stays secure.

Great product for long distance runners that like to have their hands free while running
This bottle is great! I'm a long-distance runner and a typical run for me is 8-10 miles. I can do 10-13 miles without bringing hydration for me. I have used this on runs over 15 miles and it works great. Since I only bring it out on runs over 15 miles, I tend to hydrate a bit differently and find that I go through the 13 oz a bit faster. I have a half and a full marathon coming up, and probably will bring it simply because it's that good, and I don't carry anything with me during races other than my gel flask in my pocket. For those reviews that say fluid comes out, I can tell you that if you seal the top and screw the lid on tightly, you won't experience that at all. That's just common sense though. If you don't do either, you can expect to get some spillage. I say that because the first time I used it, that happened to me.I definitely suggest you tie the drawstring on your shorts to be tight, though. If you don't, it will feel like it's bouncing around. If it's tight though, it sits perfectly and it won't feel like it's bouncing around.

WATCH VIDEO IT LEAKS!!
The media could not be loaded. I was so pumped to try this out after reading a detailed review online. Everything about this bottle is awesome and works great, except 2 things, 1 unfortunately can not be overlooked since it’s the main function of the bottle.1. The water in the bottle gets warm, extremely fast. I ran 6 miles with the bottle in 50 degree cloudy weather and the water was luke warm by mile 3 and then body temp warm by mile 6. This may vary based on how hot a persons body is when running. But count on the water getting to at least 70-90 degrees. Short runs you probably won’t notice this as much.2. This is the most IMPORTANT, it LEAKS! The cap and thread design are terrible. The bottle in this video was a replacement I requested since the first one leaked as well. The bottle material and cap design is the same cheap plastic from 1980s water bottles or giveaways water bottles. I was extremely disappointed that someone with a great idea, ruined it by being cheap. I would pay $50 for a bottle of this shape if it was good quality like hydroflask, Yeti, Nathan, ect.. I had to give it one star for this reason alone. Most people that own this bottle might have not even realized yet that it leaks. I did not notice this during my run, I noticed after when it was upside down in a bag. My guess is that they purchased a bulk order for manufacturing and it was too late to change the design so they decide to sell them anyway, which is just poor business.
