Description Neurodyn Aussie Sport is an electrical current application equipment via electrodes in direct contact with the patient. It is a neuromuscular transcutaneous stimulator that uses the microcomputers’ technologies, with operation via touch. The equipment is a transcutaneous neuromuscular stimulator is a four-channel stimulator with independent controls for current therapy used in Aussie Current (Burst Modulated Medium Frequency), they can be used simultaneously or not. All the parameters’ information chosen by the professional will be shown in an alphanumeric crystal liquid screen. The Neurodyn Aussie Sport’s stimulus has a waveform that is way more comfortable than many of the other traditional stimulations. Therefore, this stimulus probably is more enjoyable to most patients. The sensation intensity is controlled by adjusting the equipment’s parameters (controls). Distinguishing Features The Aussie Current This Neurodyn produces an Aussie Current, a new generation of electrical currents for stimulation with advantages over the traditional stimulation methods (Russian, Interferential, TENS and FES). This technique is non-invasive, it does not cause dependency and it does not have undesirable collateral damage. It produces two different frequencies: 1 Khz and 4 Khz, that allows the professional to select according to the therapeutic effect. The 1kHz frequency is used for strengthening or toning the muscles, the 4 kHz one is used for lymphatic drainage and analgesia. The current produces short duration bursts (2 milliseconds in the 1 kHz current and 4 milliseconds in the 4 kHz), with variable frequency of 1 to 120 Hz and intensity from 1 to 180 mA.
